Iroven nodded, "I will join you in your aid, Master Tomas. If we can save them, we can probably still cure them."

The fiendish arboreal notices you for the first time, and draws a large longsword made of stone before moving towards the entrance. It raises one of its branches and holds it out almost as a shield.
OOC:
Iroven and Artesia is up.

The trees are hazards. It is a DC 22 Survival check to find a location the tress can't reach. This can be done as part of a move action.

As a 2-action activity you can also make a DC 24 Religion check to recite a prayer that temporarily casts out the fiendish energy inside a single tree in the grove, disabling it for 1 minute. A disabled or destroyed tree creates a 10‑foot‑square area in the grove that’s safe from this hazard.

Round 1:
Character Initiative AC HP Statuses
Red Fiendish Arboreal 31 20 (22) 75/75 "shield" raised
Iroven 29 21 (23) 56/56
Artesia 21 17 42/42
Blue Fiendish Arboreal 20 20 (22) 75/75
Abyss-Warped Tree 20 20 (22) 75/75 hazard; hardness 10
Koram 20 18 / 20 (Haitith) 60/60
Tomas 16 20 (22) 64/64

Iroven tried to navigate through all the brambles and rotted branches in order to reach the man who was dangling from the tree. He then proceeded to move closer to the tree and hack at its branches so that it would release the man.
OOC:
1st action: navigate move, 2-3rd action vicious swing.

Iroven strides into the room, trying to find a safe spot. Moving past the Fiendish Arboreal though, he leaves himself open to an opportune attack. Its sword hits the passing warrior hard. (Crit for 30 damage)

Artesia moves into the cave opening, hoping a prayer to Pulura will exorcise one of the trees. You see a malevolent spirit halfway out of the tree before it resists the prayer and return.

The last fiendish creature draws a sword as well and moves up to swing at Iroven. Though, this time he’s ready for them and he dodges out of the way.

Then the abyss warped trees reaches out slashing at Iroven and Artesia. (11 damage Iroven and 11 damage Artesia)

Once they’ve struck the branches goes low, trying to trip up the two in the room.
OOC:
Beware, the enemy have Opportune Attack. Though with your knowledge skill you should have some more information. You know they are weak to cold iron, fire, spirit damage (good aligned pre remaster) and weapons from the axe weapon group.

Iroven and Artesia needs to make DC 19 Reflex saves or be knocked prone.

Koram and Tomas can act.

Damn! Those are nasty attacks. Maybe I should retreat.

"Iroven!" Koram shouts at seeing his companion take a couple of nasty beatings. "Okay, Haitith, you know what to do! Take out the closest one!"
OOC:
Free Action: Extend Boost (Arcana roll, fail)
Action 1: Boost Eidolon
Action 2: Tandem Movement (Koram moves to where Haitith was)(Haitith moves to melee against nearest enemy)
Action 3: Act Together (Koram - One for All on Haitith)(Haitith Strikes)
Reaction: Trigger -> Haitith Strikes, Diplomacy for Aid (Success: +1 to attack)(Crit: +2 to attack)

I believe that may be a crit on the attack, as I didn't add any bonus from One for All yet!
