Ane produces an illusory flower, and offers it to the other wizard. It will only last a few minutes (or until she gets distracted, which happens easily).

"Have a pleasant day." She wishes them.

CALIMPORT GAME

As we walk through the ward Garrett see stalls with wares. As they go he looks over and is drawn to a picture frame. It is just a frame but as he picks it up to look at it there is a picture all of a sudden of a family. A woman, a man and a child of about two. The child is Garrett"What the?!" He feels like these are his parents but he wouldn't know because he doesn't remember them.

As Garrett and Ane inspect the wares, Asha notices a surprising site on the other side of the street. There's a crew of workers unloading crates from a large floating rug. They are dropping the crates into a glowing portal on the ground at the front of a manor. A few stories up, she sees the crates dropping out of a similar portal hanging in the air above a balcony with housekeepers moving the boxes inside.

Ane doesn't deny whatever value Garrett is getting from the empty frame, but she glances at the vendor and squints at the object in his hands, just to make sure it is not overtly dangerous, she has heard of people wasting away pining after something that might not be real or even possible.

Does Ane see any malevolent energy or magic around the picture frame? (Sixth Sense)

It's hard to assess motive in a piece of magic. Ane definitely picks up enchantment and divination auras on the frame.

As Ane touches the frame, she sees in it a portrait of her parents, her sister, and herself, all standing smiling in a fishing boat pushed up onto the sand between piers Octopus and Haddock.

"Oh. That's so cute." Ane says, praising the vendor just in case they were also the creator, or know them. "It's me and my family." She hands it back Garrett, she can see her family anytime, but hasn't heard Garrett speak of anyone. Maybe he is just better than she at keeping them private, though. She tries, but loves them so much they tend to be her go-to when needing an example or comparison.

Ane wants to ask questions about how it works, is it related her illusions, and is the portal delivery common, and many many more. And it might be that very glut of topics that keeps her from pursuing them now. They have work to do, and making a good, professional, impression in this sabban could lead to many more answers... and many more questions.

"How much?" She inquires, to hurry things along.

The pull is great to purchase the frame but Garrett feels like it could distract him and he doesn't even know if those really were his parents. Garrett will ask the vendor"Is the picture here true or just what I would like to think is true?"
