@Eltesla , I used to love axe kicks. Its relatively gentle cousin, the crescent kick, was more useful in a light contact tournament, but I loved to practice the axe as a follow up to a back kick or back roundhouse, a.k.a. wheel kick.
I once (and it will never be twice) pulled off an axe kick as my third kick in the air. (The other two being a flying scissor: hook + wheel.) It was to see if I could… I think if I were to hit someone with that, I would have hurt myself more.
Anyway, I don’t know if you have a martial arts history or not, but I do, which makes your descriptions of Murasaki’s attacks a fun read for me.
