The Google Spy-Bots have been sending me tons of video game reels. The Night Slashers and Final Fight reel is kinda scary, since this stage is based on Night Slashers and the main villain is based on the Final Fight boss (in his zombie form from Final Fight Revenge).

—until today, only I knew who the stage boss was based on! Well… I guess Google knew, too. Maybe they knew before I did.

Could Diamond try to use her fairy dust to make the carriage fly? Then drop it?

Unfortunately, Pixel Dust doesn’t do that… but it’s such a normal fairy trait, so you can simply have that as a projectile attack.

Roll a ☢️ATK, and that can be a hindering effect.

I had to improvise a boss fight. Fortunately, the source gave me an idea. Check out the Night Slashers video… the boss you fight after the ghost-carriage chase is actually based on beloved Disney characters!

But I promised myself there wouldn’t be any zombified Disney characters, so it’s Belcher and Samus’ suit in the place of the puppet master and his construct.

@Eltesla , I used to love axe kicks. Its relatively gentle cousin, the crescent kick, was more useful in a light contact tournament, but I loved to practice the axe as a follow up to a back kick or back roundhouse, a.k.a. wheel kick.

I once (and it will never be twice) pulled off an axe kick as my third kick in the air. (The other two being a flying scissor: hook + wheel.) It was to see if I could… I think if I were to hit someone with that, I would have hurt myself more.

Anyway, I don’t know if you have a martial arts history or not, but I do, which makes your descriptions of Murasaki’s attacks a fun read for me.

…granted, Murasaki’s axe kick is a lot more spectacular than anything I could have ever come close to. So the video-game fan in me pictured this:

I had this crazy idea of leveling you early, since this stage is running long. I was gonna do a double level-up, but thought if you could get twice the hits that you needed on the Speed Boost Beam, I’d level the party now. (It was unlikely, but it happened: 4 combos.)

@Ysolde , I decided before starting this game that new players would start at half the party’s level, and level twice as fast. So now you’re caught up—level 4 like everyone else!

You all can choose to increase Health or Girl Power. Princess Diamond can also improve a stat (🕹️, ㊙️ or ☢️).

Well I certainly failed that roll.

@Ysolde - haha, no consequence for the miss! I already gave the early level-up as a reward!

You can take 2 actions vs. undead.

I missed my attack but comboed on aiding my allies…

Technically, only buttons can be used to attack (for now—you can get a 🕹️ATK at Emoticat’s Lv.6-9 shop), but it doesn’t matter since you missed.

Using an attack button to aid an attack will work.

Nah, I can accept the blame for it. Every time I run a game, I think of how to tweak the system for next time.

Oops… I meant to say Murasaki takes normal damage on a hit. But I’ll go with what I wrote, not what I meant to write. So no damage—she just blocked the punches blind. (It ends up making her look cooler than if she wasn’t blinded.)
