The Arachknight
Great, that doesn't seem like an intended part of the test. The Arachknight briefly considers taking out those robots that had turned hostile, but they were still part of the 'civilians'. Maybe she could just disable them and put them back on the bus. She takes a breath, readies the web dispensers on her legs and begins to scuttle towards the group.
OOC:
Taking 3 Stamina Damage to try and web up the hostile group of robots into a bundle so I can stuff them back on the bus. I'm at 15/18 damage now, so hopefully that works out.

Rolls

Web Spinning - (2D6+8)

(42) + 8 = 14

Nocturne is also getting frustrated at this. If these enemies were alive and breathing she could have made quicker work of them... And now the ones they are meant to be 'protecting' are being hostile. Was that what humans were like?

She let's out an annoyed noise and goes to run towards the robots aiming to pick up at least a couple and shove them back on the buss. Then maybe Arachknight can seal the door.
OOC:
Okay sort of look for her to run towards the entrance of the bus and scoop up some civilian robots on the oway, if that is feasible. Happy if she can only grab one.

Rolls

Scoop - (2d6+8)

(13) + 8 = 12

The red-eyed robots resist, trying to spread out and evade the webs before encircling and wailing on the nearly exhausted young heroine! But alas, the machines are too slow, and in short order Arachknight has them webbed up.
OOC:
They should have gotten +2 for the group, which I forgot -- but they still failed!

Rolls

ROBOT RAGE (trying to beat 14) - (2d6+4)

(16) + 4 = 11

The Arachknight
The web-secrete dispensers are located in the Arachknight's legs, so she can use them to create her leg-parachute for gliding. That does mean that in order to web up these robots, she has to crawl all over them, all the while avoiding their crazed punches. But soon, the machines find themselves gooed up, stuck together and mostly immobilized. The Arachknight uses her hands to wipe off the sticky white substance clinging to her legs as she takes a moment to breathe.
Feb 1, 2025 7:13 pm
Nocturne demonstrates her own high mobility as she runs for the trees and begins gathering the 'terrified' robot civilians...
OOC:
As mentioned in the Discord, the group rules are a little janky, so... if you beat the roll you grab two bots. Then grab one more bot for every +1 you win by.
[ +- ] Meaning...
Unfortunately, the group has scattered, so recovering them all isn't easy. Nocturne recovers two three of the five stray machines, leaving a pair still in the woods...

Robots No Bus! Robots No Bus! - (2d6+4)

Innocent Robot Civilian
As Arachknight secures the gaggle of angry robots with her webs, and Nocturne stuffs three of the mild-mannered ones onto the bus, the last two bots wander out of the forest, towards the bus.

Rolls

1-3 away from bus, 4-6 towards bus - (1d6)

Sable is up!
Feb 3, 2025 5:38 am
Narrowly dodging being crushed by a falling mechajaguar, Sable turns away from the melee with the civilian robots! They look to be almost back under control, and so she turns her attention to the drones overhead!

Not that far in front of her, she spies one! She gauges the height, and the trajectory the thing was flying. She waits a moment, making doubly sure she’s got her calculations correct, and then she springs for the thing!

Bringing her saber up as she leaps, she flies at the drone! As she hurtles past, she swipes at it, intent on landing back down to earth with the thing scattering about her in pieces!
OOC:
Jumping for the drone and slicing!

Drones
Buzzing, hovering, the drone is surveying the battlefield with its sensors and cameras -- then it explodes showering the ground people with it's tumbling pieces and parts.

Sable's saber had cut right through the thing, and she lands safely as the wreckage comes raining down!
OOC:
The drones are unarmored, so Sable's 5 on the damage roll means 12 damage -- which easily destroys the drone!

Drone 2 Opposes Being Sliced in Half! - (2d6+4)

Meanwhile, the drone that was damaged previously by Atrophy peels off from its wingmate and circles back around, heading north towards the burning bus, the robot passengers all standing around on the runaway, and Atrophy. Trailing smoke, the armed UAV looses another bright stream of bullets at the hovering hero, trying to pepper him with fire!
OOC:
Atrophy, Oppose that incoming fire (10) if you'd be so kind! Tell us how and make the roll!

Atrophy was less annoyed that he was the target, than if the drone had turned around to attack the bus instead. He hovered in position, unflinching, still positioned between the vehicle and the drone (and whomever else might come his way), arms akimbo, staring off the drone, letting the bullets ping and ricochet whichever way they did.
OOC:
Opposing with Superstrength for 6 damage, 1 Stamina used.

Psion looks at Sable as she lands in a shower of sparking drone parts and nods. "Efficient," he sends to Sable.

Then to Arachknight and Nocturne he sends, "One of you collect those last two, the other take the wheel." He sends an image of the bus. "I'll get this pile onto the bus."

With that, he lifts the stuck-together civilian stand-ins in one lump and attempts to shove them into the door of the bus. After a few attempts, if the pile is too misshapen to fit easily through the door, he plops them onto the roof and hovers above, intent on following the bus. He has appointed himself their geriatric-psychic protector.
OOC:
Rolling Telekinesis if required to keep things moving. Let me know if the roll was necessary so I can mark down more stamina spent.

OOC:
Atrophy — that’ll take out the drone! I had a couple of idea of how based on your narration… the thing can just run itself out of ammo pelting its target, or the damage from before can finally finish taking its toll and the thing can spiral into the ground when a rotor gives up. But also open to ideas you might have — we can be pretty flexible with these. Thoughts?

Psion, it’s definitely a power use to collect up the five angry, webbed-up bots… but I think this is a roll-under scenario since nothing is actively opposing your use of the power. Which if it’s TK, that’s a 9 — and your roll was well under. Success! Do spend the Stamina, though.

One Enemy to act, then Round 5. This was a quick one!

Cadaver Troopers
As the drone that shot at Atrophy crashes, and as Psion bundles up the red-eyed bots and stuffs them back onto the bus, five strange looking troopers take aim on Sable where she's landed -- and they open fire with their chatting battle rifles. They are straight from a horror movie -- some bizarre mix of flesh and steel, animated by some dark force... or perhaps electricity. Either way, they blaze away!
OOC:
Incoming fire, Sable! That's a 15 you need to tie or beat!

Cadaver Troopers (C5) shoot at Sable - (2d6+5+2)

Moving to Round 5 as Atrophy and Sable react.
Feb 4, 2025 5:07 am
It was a laughable sight compared to the destructiveness unleashed by the spider tank and the earlier missiles, the drone whirring back and forth unloading its entire clip after clip to damage Atrophy. He hovered, letting the small caliber ammunition spray him like coarse sand, as the drone got closer and closer to concentrate fire, until finally the stray ricochets took out one of the propellers, sending it crashing down to the ground.
