Devanis pauses and waits for Ameera to come within earshot. "Something's been triggered. Not a trap...a magical alarm, maybe? Seraph says he hears a loud noise but all I can hear is a soft hum."

The humming is, as far as you can tell, audible for everyone.

Devanis ignores Baric's scolding and simply answers the question, "No. Nothing." He moves forward to scout ahead once more, but stays within sight. (only 30ft ahead)

You had only just barely spotted the dip in the floor that Devanis stepped into, and unfortunately not fast enough to warn him about it. However, you hear an odd echo of the humming that seems to ripple deeper within. If it was an alarm, you are heading in the direction of whoever (or whatever) has been notified.

"I just want to be further away from this alarm, if alarm it is." Ameera stares up at the vaulted ceiling of the tunnel. "The way these tunnels were made seem oddly familiar. I'm not sure why' and its bothering me. Let's just move forward at least."

The tunnel continues for a ways, and as you follow it the humming seems to stop after about 5 minutes. Eventually, however, the pathway splits into two directions; straight and sloping downward. A large hole is cut into the floor, as the ground slopes down into a descending ramp that seems to continue into darkness. There are clear sections of ground that can bypass this hole that continue on straight, however.

Looks like it descends a ways before going straight one more. It eventually goes out of your line of sight before 90 feet. Odd that the fungi that has been illuminating this place isn't growing much down there.
The tracks that you have been following seems to have gotten more prominent the deeper you've gone. None more recent than the two weeks you've predicted earlier, but there are more of them. There are tracks both descending and going straight, but if you had to make a guess, more of them are going straight than down.
