"I'll be fine!" Devanis says brightly. "'Tis but a scratch!"

OOC:
Hate to ask a girl what she weighs, but roughly what is Neph's weight? Playing with the idea of using mage hand...

"Oh!" Seraph says, slightly startled, "Oh, good. I was worried."
May 7, 2017 10:15 am
OOC:
Neph looks like she might be 15-20 lbs with all of her trinkets and the leather/chitin she wears. Without it, she could be as light as 8-12 lbs. Mage hand is possible, but not for any lengthy amount of time.

OOC:
Is there any piece of rock jutting out above us that we night be able to get a rope across and swing on? If I don't use mage hand on Neph, maybe I can use it to fasten a rope which would otherwise be a difficult reach? It would make retrieval easier as well, if there is any such upper support.

Ameera slowly speaks to Flare and Neph, trying awkwardly to think the words and say them at the same time, "How can we get rope to hole and tie both ends?". She takes a breath and thinks hard, then only aloud she says, "Yna's tail, its hard to think and talk at the same time. What do you got Flare? I am out of spells unless I take a break. All I have is the Wyrden's Hand and my attacks, oh and a bonfire too. "
May 7, 2017 6:38 pm
"As far as Neph is concerned, the hand might work. "

Pyrrah conjures her own, a hazy and translucent affair nearly invisible in the dim cavern.
"Together we could probably get Neph across. As for ourselves, I'm still working on it... "
May 7, 2017 7:56 pm
"OK then tie rope around Neph and we lift with wyrd hands to hole. Rope so Neph safe and maybe tie on other side." Ameera also makes a hand appear, which crackles with purple energy. Neph, did you follow what we want to try?
May 8, 2017 10:33 am
Neph gives Ameera a solid nod, reading her lips as much as she reads her her projected thoughts. She seems prepared for this plan.
OOC:
For what it's worth, there does look to be a rock that juts out enough you could tie a rope around it. It wouldn't be the firmest solution, unfortunately, because it is wide, and thus the rope could slip if tied poorly, but it is sturdy.

Baric looks up from the pool of water serving as both rinse bin and mirror in the small cave dwelling. His beard has been shortened in some places and shifted around in others to best hide the missing chunk from near the bottom. His jewelry has been adjusted and even polished a little. It's not enough and he's visibly sour over the whole ordeal.

You will be fine, Devanis, If you lay down, Baric chides, cutting off the care and warning with a harsh, drawn out, Buck.

Baric softens his demeanor again, this time into something supremely sarcastic and wrongly maternal,

Need a bedtime story? I'm good at those. But no matter what, you need rest. I'll take the sword out for a walk, and see about patching my clothes with that poisonous pooch.

Might be I can inflict a might more pain in the pup for blasting off part of my beard.
He mumbles, stalking into the spiral of the Pixies.

Pyrrah pulls some rope out if her pack and fashions it into a slip knot to make just a simple loop (nothing complicated at all, and they don't really fall out) out of the end of the rope. She holds it at about shoulder level and gestured for Neph to position herself however she sees fit, be it about her waist or as a step.
"You ready, Ameera?"

With a twitch of her corresponding wrist, the transluencent hand joins her own on the rope, preparing to take the weight of it.
May 8, 2017 10:27 pm
"Ready" Ameera's slightly jagged looking purple hand joins Pyrrah's Ok Neph, lets give it a go, we'll hold onto this end of the rope. She tries to hide her concern with a closed mouth smile and a wink to the sprite.

[ooc]if there is a roll to be made, Ameera will help Pyrrah. [/ooc

Neph looks at the strange pair of hands holding the rope, and seems to have a bit of hesitation on her face. She places a foot on the rope and presses down, seeing the hands dip somewhat under the weight. She steps off once more, and takes a moment to drop her trinkets and armor, leaving her in nothing more than some simple, frayed garments. She seems a bit more confident now, stepping onto the rope and not seeing either of the hands dip from the weight.

The mage hands easily carry Neph across to the cave entrance. She steps off and gathers the rope, vanishing from sight for a few moments. She can neither be seen nor heard for a couple minutes, until there is the echoing of her grunting or straining. Eventually, the rope pulls taut in your hands, and Neph soon returns to the cave entrance. She signals to the two of you, beckoning you over. She has a big smile on her face, looking more like herself than she has since the attack on her village.

OOC:
Ameera and Pyrrah gain Inspiration. It seems like the two of you deserve some reward for this teamwork and ingenuity.

Remember to make a survival check if you want to tie off the rope somewhere. And make an Athletics check with advantage for climbing with the climbing gear.

As Baric exits the hovel, he finds a dozen or so of the pixies standing outside. They startle, and a few of them begin pretending that they were busy with something else, and definitely not listening to the weird surfacers with their strange language. Not all of them pretend, however, and it foils the ruse. Some of the pixies are children, as small as one foot tall. Others are a bit taller than Neph, specifically some of the males, who look to be about two and a half feet at most.

One of the pixies, a male adolescent perhaps, looks at Baric hesitantly and then slowly, awkwardly, plants a fist over his heart; a common surface greeting.

Tossing the rope around the most likely outcropping and taking up the slack enough to provide a handrail of sorts, Ameera attempts to tie it up. "I want to leave enough slack so we can move around while holding onto the rope, maybe we should tie my rope to the first persons waist with a mid loop around the guide rope. After the first is across, the second person would do the same and bring the rope with them. We would always have someone at one end holding onto a safety line. I really don't know what I am talking about, but It seems like any thing is better than nothing."

Ameera ties the rope as best she can, and it feels about as secure as it's going to get. Neph awaits from the tunnel, looking around herself as the two of you discuss.

"My knot, my plan, your turn to step up and do something. You should go first...... kidding! Ameera dons the climbing gear and attaches the harness to the guide line and ties her rope around her waist. She hands the other end to Flare and calls to Neph "on my way!" using the spiked boot tips and her hands, she tries awkwardly to climb across.

It certainly doesn't look easy, but Ameera manages quite well regardless. She makes her way to the other end. Neph attempts to "catch" her on the other side, despite her lack of strength.

The cavern extends deep, before bending at a sharp, downward angle about fifty feet in.

Neph pats some dirt off of Ameera's leg.

Ameera unites the rope from her waist and unbuckles the harness. "All set Flare, I have this end, I'll back up a bit and hold on."
