While she avoided being splashed directly, the acid eats holes in her barrier and drips on her body. She grits her teeth against the pain.

Meanwhile, the hawk is hit squarely, crying out as acid rapidly sears through its feathers and flesh. 32 damage, which reduces its Health to zero and carries out to its Endurance, leaving it with 8.

"Damn it!" Hanami drops her barrier, only to see Luna within the frog's jaw. "Hold on! Stay strong!" She holds out her wand and casts a spell. Luna's body is enshrouded in a gentle empowering glow as her barrier strengthens considerably.

Ibuki noticing how sumeryu's attack seemed to have reduced effect on the frog she takes a stance and decides to use this attack. As the frog is struggling to bite through the barrier in its mouth she will walk over to it slowly and whisper a quiet prayer "Forgive me for the harm i shall inflict but i cannot stand by as my friends are hurt" and with that she slam her fist into the belly of the frog whispering

"Fa Jin"

For a second, Lín Jìng tries to swipe the now-invisible mud from her now-invisible face, and then realises that even though she got hit at first, now the enemy seems focused on others. Dropped out of her defensive stance, and instead made a wide-sweeping mudra - her arms swinging widely as if she's trying to pick up and throw down a lorry - and initiated the TK Crush technique in an all-out attack against the toad, trying to grab, lift up, throw down, and then pin it, hopefully stopping it from chewing on anyone anymore.

She roared demonically, but nobody heard that due to the nature of her spell of unnoticeability.

As the frog's mouth clamps down on Luna's barrier, cracks begin to form in it. However, thanks to Hanami's reinforcement, the barrier is able to hold for a little longer. However, while the barrier kept the frog's mouth from crushing Luna, it's tongue was still coiled around her lower half, restraining her movements.

With a half mocking, half concerned voice nagging in her head, Luna pulls out another talisman. She imbues it with spiritual energy and throws it down the frog's throat as she begins a chant. "O spirits who dwell in this lake... grant thee thy power and flood this land!"

Sumeryu finds it quite objectionable that a giant frog is attempting to eat one of her princesses.

Yes, that. That is definitely why she doesn't like this.

"Let! Go! Of! Her!" the dragon girl demands, stentorian. She grabs the frog by its upper jaw and yanks forward, hard, to flip the whole creature overhead and force it to let go.

If it works, Luna will tumble head over heel, once, and then fall out of the frog's mouth thanks to gravity.

Sumeryu lets go of the frog in mid-throw. Her arms freed, she holds out both to catch Luna as she falls. Bridal carry, of course, because that's the most practical way to catch somebody falling directly on top of you.

"Anybody hurt?" she asks, looking around at the Magical Girl Combat Squad. Except Lin, who is super duper invisible.

The combined attacks on the frog appeared to be a success, although bouncing around inside the frog's mouth as it got pummeled and tossed did no wonders for Luna.

Are we sure there are not more brutes outside the frog?
I'm sure it's just an accident...

However, not a moment later did Luna suddenly feel herself grow lighter as the frog was tossed high in the air. In the chaos of the launch, Luna felt the frog's tongue grow limp as the momentum forced her out of it's gaping mouth. But to make things worse, she was now face to face with the rapidly approaching ground.

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhh" Her screams echoed across the lake as she fell.

Hmph, stabilize yourself already. You've jumped from higher before.

As Luna fell towards the ground, she could hardly make out anyone or anything below her. The darkness of night time meant that she would have to try and land on her own.

Hanami's suffered some damage, but her own wounds are not the biggest priority to her. "I'm fine. If anyone's injured, come see me. I'll patch you up, then we can proceed."

As Hanami's looking around to assess everyone's conditions, she hears the weak cry of her giant hawk as it comes in for a landing. It crashes right next to her, fighting just to stay conscious.

"I'm sorry... I need you for a little while longer." Hanami holds out her wand and begins to cast a healing spell on her hawk. The acid burns start to fade and feathers begin to regrow to cover any exposed flesh.

Lín Jìng becomes visible, hands still in a choking gesture directed at the frog, then relaxes and tries to wipe off the mud. "I think I'm all right."

Ibuki rubs the spot where she was hit with the acid as she replies "im fine, though i would request a moment" ibuki will walk over to frog and perform a prayer over its body wishing it a favorable rebirth

Hanami's eyes widen when she sees the surrounding forest returning to normal. "Huh? So, that frog was the source?" She's not quite ready to believe it's over yet, though she'd be perfectly content if it was.

"Get up high and show me what's happening," she commands her hawk. It obliges, taking to the skies with a flap of its powerful wings. She closes her eyes and taps into its senses as it surveys the area from above to check if any corruption remains.

With a slight thud, Luna lands squarely on the ground. A couple meters away is Sumeryu, her head turned to the sky and her arms wide open, as if she was expecting to catch someone.

"Uwah, that was terrible." Luna whined as the frog's saliva still covered her uniform. She would need to do laundry and dive into a bath asap after this. But all in all, she escaped the frog relatively unscathed. The only real damage seemed to be a few bruises caused by her companion's rough handling of the frog.

Hmm... it seems that was it for the corruption in this area, but let's check again. Luna pushed her palms together and said a quick prayer, hoping to get a positive response from the forest spirits.

The dragon girl lets her arms drop to her side. It's a little bit disappointing, but one can't win them all. Also, she's got frog goo on her, which is disgusting. In the least human-like behavior she has shown on campus, Sumeryu shakes herself for a second or so, discharges lightning in arcs all over her body, burning off the frog goo in the process.

The frog spot now smells like ozone. A significant improvement.

Then, since everyone is accounted for and nobody is injured as far as she can tell, Sumeryu waits next to Hanami, since the magical doctor girl is clearly doing some spellcasting whatsits that may reveal more butts that need kicking.

Lín Jìng looks around for Rikishi, and sends a thought to him. Seems like it's over and it's safe again. You OK?

Meanwhile she continues cleaning mud off herself.

Ibuki having completed her prayer is slightly stunned at the break in the mood from Aika "Um well i am humbled you think so highly of me i'm really still a novice in martial arts I would hardly consider myself worthy to be a teacher and besides my martial arts are more as a form of a form of self betterment and to be used in defense i'm sure there are better teachers here than me" Ibuki nervously blushes a little not sure on if being complimented about her ability to enforce the application of violence is something to be happy about or not

Lín seems on the verge of giving up. "Ugh, I probably do need a spare uniform."
