Seeing that all but one grimlocks have been taken out, Haesh attempts to pull the last of his foes into a bear hug.

Using the distraction of Golwen's magic exploding in the grimlock's face, Haesh steps forward to wrap his arms around the creature. However, the grimlock manages to break free of the warrior's grasp, and lifts its club to counterattack.

Haesh manages to get his shield back around in time to block the grimlock's strike. It roars, spittle flying upon the shield, and tries to flee and head back into the cave.

Jandral wants to know where Rhod is being dragged off to and for what purpose. He follows at a safe distance (about 60ft) and tries to stick to the shadows, using the stalagmites as cover.

The grimlock is spun around from the warhammer, breaking its shoulder and causing it to drop its club. Then an arrow sinks deep into its chest, ending its life.

Tordek moves up behind Haesh, lowering his hammer as he sees the closest creature fall to the ground. He places a hand on his companion and channels healing magic into him.

Golwen moves forward and around the corner to keep an eye on his companions in the cavern. Seeing Parallel continue his assault on the fleeing creature, Golwen redoubles his efforts to get within range of being useful.Taking in the scene and noting the condition of Rhodrick, Golwen becomes determined to get to his downed companion as quickly as he is able.
