Once the demon is captured and the store free from paranormal influences, Curtis lets out an excited whoop and goes to try and high-five the rest of the squad. "That's what I'm talking about!"

Abby was glowing up her teammates. She never did tell what she brings to the table as a trash girl:

She’s not afraid to take other people’s crap.

"We’re doing this, Lucas." She doesn’t button up her jumpsuit. Her abs attract, distract, intimidate, or maybe just weird out the suits so they don’t know how to play her.

"So I take it you’re here to reward Lucas? Y’know, ’cause he just saved a buncha customers’ lives from not one, but three chaos demons."

There is one other perk to having Abby on the team. She’s an avid photographer, quick to capture birds in flight. And ghosts too!

She dangles her camera before the suits. "I got plenty o’ proof for the Ethereal Squad’s self-promotion."

She points to Lucas and repeats, "Promotion.

"Won’t that make Bullseye look like a wonderful company when this whole thing blows up into a big news story, if you promote this man! Oh, yeah… these photos are going to journalists. Free publicity!—for us and for you."

She hopes one of her teammates will tell the suits about the bill.

"Yeah, so … you guys are management, right? That's good, because we'll need you to approve our invoice for clean up of the extranatural incursions here. Considering our equipment, training, response time, and results, as well as the mitigation to potential reputational harm and keeping a low key about this whole thing, the low flat fee for our services is fifty thousand dollars."

AJ looks to Jasper, the to the HQ people, tries to put a very serious face and nods.

"We accept installment plans," Niles adds helpfully.

"We can also provide all necessary insurance documentation. For instance, demonic possession is typically covered under by an all perils clause," Curtis adds.

"This one’s fifty percent off," she tells the suits as she quick-draws Slime Parti—



ABBY’s EPILOGUE
Abby gets a guest appearance on Nickelodeon’s Slime Party. "You slimed me," she says to a little red-haired girl who looks strikingly similar to the child version of A.J.Cut to Abby shaking hands with some fat guy who apparently owns the dump. Cut to Abby decorating some kind of old warehouse. Cut to parents dropping off daughters at "Abby’s DIY Dojo."

Abby is seen working out with children, using junk as weights, old cushions as trampolines, outgrown favorite blankets as yoga mats. When the woman from Bullseye HQ enters with her two elementary-school-aged daughters, Abby gladly accepts her check. She tells the next parent to enter, "That’s right, free membership, thanks to a very generous donation from Bullseye’s Veep."

Cut to parents applauding Abby and the woman from HQ. Cut to Abby and the kids practice a synchronized dance-fight katta.

Though the transformation only lasted under a minute, seeing A.J. as a child triggered a kind of Mama-Bear instinct in Abby de Staël. Starting a gym for young girls is how Abby deals with it.

Privately, she adopted twins…
