As Sassafras examines the nut itself, Bole tries to figure out how much force would be needed to fling barrels with the lever so that they'd hit the "TIGHTY" wing of the nut. Maybe the amount imparted by someone jumping down onto the high side from the billboard?

But when Vi Vi asks her question, he replies "Well, this one is closest to where we started..." (pointing to "A") "We could start with that."

Instead of strict initiative, we'll do it by posts. This is technically round one, so once everyone has posted an action then NPCs will go and then start again from the PCs. I'll keep the tracker updated as everyone posts.
Sassafras finds three puzzle-style locks on the underside base of the wingnut numbered 1, 2, and 3. She can tell each one must be done in order to gain access to the next puzzle, and each lock puzzle is increasingly difficult. She must lie on her back under the wingnut to be able to work on the locks.

For Bole, the barrels are on the other side of the roof and behind rows of barbed wire and would take at least half a minute to get there. It's impossible to tell if the barrels are full or empty without peeking inside or giving one a lift.

Butch surveys the scene for a moment, a look of concern on his face (trying to mask the fact this is too much information for him to take in and process). "Think you're spot on, Vi. There must be a way to solve this puzzle, and the boxes should have clues, or tools. And traps. And monsters. But we won't know till we've tried 'em. Here, lemme give you some dramatic background tunes, bebbeh..." With that, he starts humming a low tone on his harmonica, which gets louder and more high pitched as Vi Vi gets closer to the box.

Tymun follows the others out onto the roof and gives a low whistle at the sight of the giant wingnut. "An impressive feat o' engineering!" he says.

As Bole, Vi Vi, and Butch talk about the boxes, he carefully walks over to box A but doesn't touch anything on it yet. Instead he looks all around it, checking for any kind of traps or surprises.

"From zombie gore flick to demented carnival attractions in less than two minutes. Gods, I do love Xcrawl...." Gabe mumbles to himself as the team starts fanning out and exploring the area. Noting that both Tymun and Vi Vi are nearing some of the mystery boxes, he tries to keep himself an even distance between both, ready to rush in if when all hell breaks loose.

Tymun sees box A is indeed trapped! There is some kind of trigger on the lid hinge of the box. It doesn't seem too hard to disable.

Apologies, work has been getting wild!
Callan surveys the scene, figuring if any of his spells could help out.

Medeski's Transformation could make me strong, but probably not enough to shift that thing... And Blue Streak could give me the speed to really get it going, but I have no idea if I can even go fast enough to add enough force...

In lieu of being able to do much, Callan hangs behind Vi, hoping to be of use when she eventually draws the joker and gets jumped by something in one of these boxes.

Before anything can be seen there is a strange clicking sound coming from the narrow sides of the building. Simultaneously, as if rehearsed, two spider-dude luchadores skitter over the edges of the roof. They are exactly as their name implies: shirtless muscle-bulging men with the proportions of a combat action figure on top, giant spider bodies on bottom, completed with luchadore masks over their faces. They flex to show off their bulging physique before turning and shooting out sticky nets of spiderwebbing! One spiderweb net wraps around the giant wingnut and bolt, sticking it in place! The other arcs towards Sassafras at the base of the wingnut!

At the same time, another spider-dude—this one is a spider-dude clown in creepy makeup and a wacky clown outfit loaded with weapons and gear—bursts out of the billboard and lands on the raised end of the teeter-totter, launching the barrel at "Bombastic" Butch! Midway through the barrel's arc the barrel explodes open with a puff of gas revealing a spider the size of a halfling inside! Its exoskeleton is yellow-red, and its eyes are human-like and beady. It has a mouth full of sharp fangs, and its legs are tinged with brown. You are chilled because you know what this is, a rust spider!

Need a Reflex saving throw DC 15 or Butch loses his armor or shield (your choice) to the rust monster's bite! You also take 5 damage from the attack.

As the spider-man hybrids climb onto the roof and begin to attack, Tymun decides to try to disable the trap so they can check inside mystery box A. So he gets out his thieves tools and starts working on the triggering mechanism.

"If it's trapped, there oughta be something useful inside at least," he reasons.

"I swear that Rosie got a few rivets loose!" Butch grumbles as he dodges the touch of the rust spider. Although the swing is slow and clumsy enough to avoid, he still tries to sell it like he barely escaped with his life (and equipment). Gotta show some vulnerability to get them fans invested after all, get them to cheer for the hero in peril.

"Alright you Insane Clown Midget," he regroups, striking a pose with his shield and blade that shows all the proper corporate logos to the camera "...let's dance. Better be a bad enough dude to take me on, 'cause I'm about to make the rust... bite the dust!"

Using Disrespect, halfling midget arachniclown of rust needs to beat my Performance check with a Will save or take a -3 penalty to attack rolls, spell check rolls, damage rolls and Willpower saves for 5 rounds.

"And what a scene we have going on up here, folks! The spider-dude luchadores have entered the battle and are attempting to stop the Houston Hexcralwers by webbing them and the main attraction up! Meanwhile a spider-dude clown has launched a rust spider-filled barrel at "Bombastic" Butch! While the impact certainly had to hurt, the rust spider didn't get a bite into any metal. Butch's armor is safe...for the time being! Oh ho, and what's this? That magical fanfare sound means the first puzzle box has opened! I don't see any darts sticking into Tymun which means he has disarmed the trap! And what has he found? It, uh, looks like an oversized book..."

Seeing the webs slinging her way, Sassafras tries to escape their grasp but finds herself trapped in stickiness and on her back. Well, I may as well try to disable this while I’m down here. She wriggles for her tools.

Gabriel can't quite keep a sigh of relief from escaping his lips as the arachnoid nightmares appear. For a moment he had worried that the whole finale would just be puzzles and traps. Not exactly his area of expertise.

He takes aim at the spider-creature closest to Sassafras. Goes in with a big swing against the eyes (only two, thankfully) and follows up with a sweeping kick towards the legs (way too many).
