As you pull back, it's clear that the creature doesn't want to give chase, it simply returns to it's point of origin and resumes looking like a bush. You could give the creature a wide birth, but you sense that either way you go there are hollows prowling.

Well, time for the first tactic I ever learned. Run away! Sorry Nirmon, I'll get you some carrots next time!
With that, Tosti will start the long trip back to the bonfire, as there's nowhere else for him to go.

You can only use a humanity at a bonfire, and it doesn't restore health. (Though it does restore your max health)Dec 11, 2016 12:03 pm
Tosti weighs his options and grudgingly heads back to the plant. He attempts to slip past any enemies in the forest.

You almost make it past the hollows before crashing into a shrub and drawing their attention. You are about 30 feet from the broken tower and about 40 feet from the hollows.

Hoping for some divine intervention, Tosti makes a beeline for the bonfire to light it up.

Tut must be with you, as you dive into the tower and light the bonfire.

Bandit Soul: the soul of a bandit of the Ashen Forrest. The desperate settled in these woods to steal from those whose pilgrimage lead the to me the Ashen Tomb. Offer at a bonfire for 150xp or use for trading.
This tower bears the Brocken remains of religious iconography. It seems that the tower was once a temple for pilgrims. It is unclear why the tower has fallen, or what the pilgrims worshipped. From where you stand you cannot see what has become of the room that once stood above you.

Tosti will absorb all the souls he has collected, and reflects on the surrounding area. The Ashen Tomb sounds very interesting, and worthy of Tyr's protection. He carefully examines the religious markings on the tower walls, hoping to learn some more info.
OOC:
So are there rooms to explore, or is it a complete ruin? Also, what's the next closest landmark, the squad building or the cave on the mound?Rolls

The top most rooms are completely trashed, but from what you saw from the outside there should be atleast another floor above you. The toppled segments still have some of their structure so you'll need to pick through wall fragments to explore the remnants of those floors. You can't identify anything from the iconography, but you can discern that the tower is newer then the large square building you saw earlier. It also has a different style of construction to that of the Firekeep. From here the square building and the mound entrance are about equidistant but are in different directions.

Tosti decides to pick through the remains of the towers, since he does have a penchant for old ruins. He keeps an eye out for anything interesting, while still paying attention to any religious items. If any rubble blocks off the path, he'll attempt to remove it.

Pushing over rubble instead of clbering over it, in what would have been the second or third floor you find a rusted pendant of of some worshipe value. It is emblazoned with two crossed lighting bolts behind a rearing lion. It is unclear to you what the pendant worships, but it is clear that it is sacred. In the toppled floor you see a chest.
