1.2 Shadows of Ourselves

Hellwasp (4) again swoops down of Xanxus, it's bulging abdomen ending in a spike of death.
OOC:
5 damage to Xanxus and 5 ongoing damage for at least the next turn. Save of 6+ on Hellwasp 4's next turn stops the damage otherwise it continues. Xanxus now at 14HP. Domitius next.

Rolls

Hellwasp 4 attack on Xanxus - (1d20+6)

(12) + 6 = 18

OOC:
Is Haguk's target still up or down?
Jan 9, 2017 11:25 pm
Grimacing in pain from the stinger, Domitius felt a set of appendages sprout from his head, and he suddenly became aware of a whole new spectrum of energy. In addition to that, he felt stronger, more sure of himself. Drawing from the new pool of energies at his disposal, he formed a concentrated ball of magic and shot it into the wasp that had stung him.

His minion continued to gnaw away at the wasp it was engaged with.
OOC:
Taking 5pts damage from ongoing. I successfully saved, so ongoing ends this round.

Minion takes 2pts damage from natural odd roll.

All Hellwasps are very much alive.
Jan 10, 2017 9:10 pm
The Hellwasp (5) smarts at the magic missile throbbing through it's carapace but laughs a buzzing laugh at the minion's attempt to crush it. It turns it's attention back to Domitius and stings with fury but it's too distracted to be accurate and jabs harmlessly at thin air.
OOC:
Miss. Sorry for the delay. Son admitted to hospital again on Monday evening so running behind. Blackstar up next.

Rolls

Hellwasp 5 attack on Domitius - (1d20+6)

(5) + 6 = 11

Jan 11, 2017 5:25 am
Blackstar opens his mouth wide and hundreds of angry butterflies stream out of it to surround him in a protective cloud.

Still going on my initiative just didn't know if HW#2 was still up and didn't want to beat a dead bug.
Xanxus bares sharp teeth like fangs on his target as he slashes in.
"Why won't you just die!" he hisses before getting pierced by another of their number gnashing his teeth from the pain

OOC:
Either you're confused or I am. On initiative order we still have:

Hellwasp 3
Elke
Hellwasp 1
Hellwasp 2
Haguk
You

Or did you hold your action?
Jan 13, 2017 2:25 pm
OOC:
I was trying to find out if Hellwasp 2 was up or down so I knew to attack it or if conditionals were needed for this round and it got lost in the shuffle. You just answered so I posted my action for the round now but I'm still at my initiative. By I'll hold my action I meant posting, my apologies for the confusion.

Elke, still waiting on your turn.

OOC:
With Elke opting out, I've removed Hellwasp 1. Back to start of the round. Escalation die at +2. Hellwasp 2 then Haguk.
Haguk feels the vibration of giant wasp wings as the beast returns to attack his head and face. The attack is to no effect though as Haguk manages to duck and dive and avoid the malevolent creature.
OOC:
Haguk. Esc +2.

Rolls

Hellwasp 2 attack on Haguk - (1d20+6)

(7) + 6 = 13

Jan 15, 2017 10:07 pm
Haguk sidesteps the Hellwasp's attack and grunts as he lifts his sword for one more strike.

Rolls

To hit - (1d20+8)

(15) + 8 = 23

Damage (Miss=2) - (1d10+4, 1d6)

1d10+4 : (2) + 4 = 6

1d6 : (4) = 4

Jan 16, 2017 6:13 pm
Haguk smites the Hellwasp and feels the weight of it's body as it makes contact with his sword. It smashes into the ground, writhing on it's back but scuttles over upright again and takes off into the air.
OOC:
Haguk takes a hefty chunk out of it. Xanxus up next.
Jan 17, 2017 5:56 pm
Xanxus gnashes his teeth his eyes half closing expelling his breath from clenched teeth feeling his pulse heightened realizing he was poisoned. His eyes widen as he looks among the enemy combatants refocusing himself.
OOC:
Using my free Rally.
[ +- ] Remnant

Rolls

Rally - 1 Recovery - (2d8+1)

(25) + 1 = 8

Poison Save - (1d20)

(5) = 5

Jan 17, 2017 11:47 pm
OOC:
Xanxus recovery moves him to 22/24 hp. However, failed save means 5 more damage from the sting so back to 17/24 hp.
The Hellwasp sees Xanxus still struggling with the effect of the venom and strikes again burying it's stinger deep in the fleshy upper arm of Xanxus.
OOC:
For reference (and I should have explained earlier) all these Hellwasp attacks are v's PD. Another 5 hp damage - 12/24. Domitius up next.

Rolls

Hellwasp 4 attack on Xanxus - (1d20+6)

(7) + 6 = 13

are any of the enemy at 5HP or less?
Jan 18, 2017 1:25 am
OOC:
Since we're at level 2 I'm actually at 15/32 (7plus con bonus x4) also you take ongoing at the beginning of the turn before you act and save at the end.

My mistake. I'm actually dishing out the ongoing at the start of Hellwasp4's turn. It just so happens that he's immediately after you in the initiative order. So basically you failed the save at the end of your turn and I applied the ongoing damage at the start of his. It's that not right?
