Adaahsha sticks with Savi, figuring that Thessa will expect to see the captain at the table, but lets him lead the way. She keeps er demeanor nonchalant as she can, but keeps a weary eye out.

Avox follows Savi close, and scans the room for potential threats.

Avox scans the room, and while he doesn't see any overt threats, his bounty hunter eye catalogues all the places a threat could be hidden: the left side of the Sullustan, behind the bar, in the back room.

Savi's outward demeanour changes instantly at the threshold to the cantina. All thoughts of mirth regarding his companions' mannerisms and light hearted joy brought on by the urchins melts into the determination typical for him before a negotiation. There were no nerves or apprehension, there was only the 'game'. Just like dealing with the self-serving beings of the senate. Method and language have changed, but the game was the game.

He walks with assurance into the cantina and lets Ada and Avox handle the room. He balances his outward demeanour carefully, showing confidence but not drawing the attention of every barve in the place with any showy behaviour.
OOC:
Is the contact here? Does Savi see her?
Dec 7, 2016 4:42 pm
Bo waits a few minutes and enters the cantina alone. She goes immediately to the bar and orders a drink before looking around the place to spot where her team settled. She tries not to make eye contact with anyone.
Dec 8, 2016 10:32 am
Savi looks around the room. There is a Sullustan by the bar, who seems oblivious to everything but the drink in front of him. The bartender is a human woman of middle years. He sees Skent embracing what can only be his mother, who appears to be a server. He'll have to ask around about Thessa, because he doesn't know what she looks like.

Without breaking stride, Savi makes his way to a table on the edge of the room where he and his compatriots can put their backs to the wall and keep everything in front of them. Settling in to their seats he calls over the server with a smile and a friendly gesture.

"Your boy was very helpful and courteous. I hope it was ok for us to reward him for his help."

Jack feels at home here in the cantina, which may not be a very good sign. He immediately walks over to the bar, reaching into his pocket to only remind himself he'd recently given away his last credits. "Do cul lakiylan sei si'iyilau," he mutters with a sigh, rubbing at his eyes. He'll turn to see Savi sitting down and will move to that table to join him. "Looks like I'm going thirsty," he says, feigning contentment as Savi converses with the server. Jack adds to the conversation, "See if you can pull up a picture of banthas for him on the HoloNet. He'll get a laugh."

She comes over to the table, timidly proferring the credstick. "Please, sir, this is too much. Thank you for your kindness to my boy." It's clear from the way she looks at it that she would desperately like to keep it, but her honor won't allow blind acceptance of such generosity.

Avox prefers to stand so he can have a good look around the room at any time. At this attempted return by the rodian he looks at her from under his helmet. "It was not generosity, but pay. He earned it from us by leading us here. Do not shame us by returning it." Avox growls at her. He then looks away, trying to spot whomever they are supposed to meet in the cantina.

Savi holds up a hand and motions gently for Avox to go easy. "Please, madam, my friend means no offence, but he has a point. Your boy earned those creds. If you feel it to be too much, however, perhaps you too could help us out. Then keeping the payment would sit better with you." he suggests.

As the woman regards the slim stick in obvious contemplation, Savi continues, "We are here to meet with a person by the name of Thessa. Do you know of her? Can you tell us anything about her? Or, if not, would you be so kind as to point her out by giving us a discreet signal when you see her?"

He gives the Rodian server his most charming smile, "Any help would be appreciated."

She pauses a moment, then pockets the credstick with a nod. "Of course I know Thessa. She's the cook. You must be delivering more supplies for those friends of hers." She gives you another puzzled look, "I can answer your questions, but it might be best to just talk to her. It's not a big secret. Everyone knows she arranges supplies for those crazy homesteaders. Would you like me to call her over?"
Dec 10, 2016 6:22 pm
"That'd be great," Jack interjects, after staring needles at Avox for his rudeness.

Once Wre leaves, Jack will turn to Savi and waggle his eyebrows, saying, "Crazy homesteaders, huh?" He shifts in his seat, getting more comfortable. He'll lean back and place his arms up in a restful position, "Sounds like a good cause. Downright humanitarian, even."
Dec 10, 2016 11:03 pm
"Post hoc, ergo propter hoc." Savi gives Jack the same kind of look he used to reserve for the more tiresome members of Senate during pointless debates. "Just because this is seemingly innocuous, doesn't mean initial concerns weren't warranted. The ends don't justify the means, Jack."

Savi sighs and turns back to the cantina vista before him, "Let's not get into it all over again. When she comes out, let me do my job. I don't peer over your shoulder and tell you how to aim the cannon on the ship."

He turns his head slightly toward the armored man behind him, "Avox, stay sharp. This seems straight forward, but we all know encounters like those can sometimes be the most troublesome. Keep an eye out. I'll get us paid, and we can get out of here and on to the next job."
Dec 11, 2016 1:55 am
Jack quirks a brow at Savi and asks, "Wow, that was sudden. What did I say that got you twisted up?" Jack looks to have been genuinely taken aback by the sudden defense. He lowers one arm and raps his knuckles against the table, "If I have something to say, Savi, I'm going to say it. Aiming cannons isn't my job. Making sure the job goes well is my job."

"Anyone can aim a cannon," he remarks, gesturing to Avox.
Dec 11, 2016 2:07 am
Savi chuckles. "Forgive me. I sensed a shot across my bow. It must just be the anticipation of the negotiation. Think nothing of it." He eases his posture and forces himself to appear more outwardly calm and disarming. "But remember, you're not the only one who is responsible for the job going well. We all have our role to play."
Dec 11, 2016 2:43 am
Wre disappears into the back and returns after a few moments with a strikingly beautiful human woman, who beams as she walks toward your table.
Dec 11, 2016 2:47 am
"You made it! And you're early! How wonderful. I wasn't sure about that Devaronian, he was pretty sketchy, but he came through."
Dec 11, 2016 3:10 am
"Indeed." Savi motions to the empty seat across from him, indicating Thessa should join him. "We made it. And we're early."
Dec 11, 2016 9:38 am
Jack simply greets Thessa with as charming a smile as he can muster. Hoping that Savi notices, he makes a point to remain silent and not intervene.
