At hearing the transmission, Avox sighs and stands up. He exits the cantina and heads towards the shipyard at an even pace. He is sure to pay close attention to the comms in case another message comes.
OOC:
You can ignore this if it is not needed, but I'll roll perception for Avox to find his way back.

Rolls

Finding his way to the ship

1 Success, 2 Advantage

Total: 1 Success, 2 Advantage

Avox's excellent memory allows him to retrace his steps back to the ship. This way is faster, though less direct, and he is able to enter the market just in time to see the rest of the party heading toward the berth.

Bo will approach taking out her slicer deck. She takes a knee in front of the droid, "Wha do we have heah? I will twy to connect to your netwok."

Bo attempts to contact the droid through the net and translate it's squeals. She will let the other characters see the marquee scroll across her slicer screen.

Rolls

Contact the droid through the net.

4 Success, 2 Advantage, 1 Failure, 1 Threat

Total: 3 Success, 1 Advantage

The droid is not very smart and has a limited vocabulary. Right now she keeps repeating go home go home go home

Savi read the readout quickly and began processing. He started putting together disparate occurrences; the ambush in orbit, Thessa's reaction to the droid's presence, the droid's message, and Chusk's absence...

Not enough to draw any definitive conclusions, but certainly enough to raise the veteran manipulator's hackles. I need to be careful not to jump at shadows here. Seeing warning signs where none exist can be just as disastrous as not seeing the ones that are actually there. Savi cautions himself and discreetly takes half a step back in order to keep Thessa and the droid in plain sight while he tried to add things up correctly.

Despite his paltry skills with it, the weight of his blaster gave him a modicum of comfort. More came with the sight of Avox entering the bay.

Bo squints (the best she can without defined eyelids) at the droid. She dedicates herself and a flash of typing and hand gestures attempting to fully hack the droid. She want to find out who sent it and where home is.
OOC:
I'll increase the dif of this roll to 3, just alter whatever and add more dice if it doesn't seem like the right guess on the challenge

Hacking the droid

5 Success, 1 Failure, 4 Threat

Total: 4 Success, 4 Threat

Bo is able to find out that the droid is registered to a 'Quin Telsh' before the little thing's circuits overload and she goes limp with a wail.

Meanwhile, Thessa begins checking over the crates for signs of tampering.
Dec 20, 2016 11:52 pm
Savi watches Thessa very closely to make sure she isn't tampering with the crates or removing anything. As long as she is, indeed, just checking the crates, he will remain quiet. If she appears to be doing anything else, he will feel compelled to ask her about it.
OOC:
If I need to roll a check let me know what type and difficulty.
Dec 21, 2016 12:35 am
Jack lets Bo do her work, silently following Thessa through her inspection until he does eventually ask, "How's it looking?"
Dec 21, 2016 1:17 am
OOC:
Savi, you can roll Perception, Average difficulty (2 purple).
Dec 21, 2016 1:19 am
Thessa inspects the seams of each crate carefully. "It all looks fine, thank the force," she says with relief. She looks up to Savi, "May I do my scan of the contents?" She indicates a handheld scanner she draws from her bag.
Dec 21, 2016 1:50 am
Savi differs to Bo's expertise. "I can't see any reason why not...Bo?"

Savi doesn't see anything untoward, but Thessa notices him watching.
Dec 22, 2016 11:55 am
Savi fires off a disarming smile in her direction in an attempt to convince her his watchfulness is born of mere curiosity.
OOC:
Not sure if needed, or of the difficulty, but there is a charm check. If you need me to, I'll happily roll another difficulty die.

What would you like your advantage to be?
Dec 22, 2016 6:42 pm
OOC:
I'll turn it into a boost die for the next person who makes a skill check, if I may.

Perhaps something along the lines of her being so successfully, if momentarily, put at ease by my friendly look, the next interaction with her catches her slightly off her guard?

OOC:
Certainly. I would be inclined to make her more receptive to negotiations, rather than off guard, but that works too. It will just depend on the nature of the next intersction.

Jack, entirely unaware of this subtle interaction between Savi and Thessa, just says, "Well, it's your cargo, by my account. Just what exactly are you receiving? Something you can't open up right here?"
Dec 23, 2016 11:02 am
Thessa shrugs and begins scanning the crates. "My friends value their privacy, and I think they worry its more likely they'll get attention they don't want if they lay out their wares for people to see. I'm under orders...that is, they have instructed me to scan them but keep them closed and sealed."
