You both fall into trouble as you attempt to avoid the fight, as Harmia flies up the watchers on the wall quickly spot her and attempt to fire at her and though they miss there are others along the wall that are lining their shot. Mean while in the trench Rawlyn's stealth went well until one of the knights knocked the other into him, getting their attention.

The powerful blow knocks Rawlyn off his feet, causing him to reverse somersault back to a standing position. He felt his front and was relieved when no blood appeared on his hand, though he felt the bruises forming. He raises his rapier once more, and rushes in on the more wounded foe. He jumps slightly as he gets close and unleashes a flurry of strikes!
OOC:
By "flurry" I mean two. Using Action surge.

Your blows find the weak points in it's armour and you dispatche the legionarre expertly. It turns to ash and you absorb an Almian Legionnaires Soul.

I roll with the attack, and retaliate with a quick stab. As the spear strikes my target, I release a surge of psionic energy through the tip.

Alara's powerfuk blow stuns the lancer temporarily but is insufficient to defeat it. It returns with a jab which just barely breaches your defences.

Ignore the other one, true damage on Alara - (1d8+2)

Rawlyn moves from the ashen pile of his defeated foe, kicking up a dusty cloud as he rushes the remaining foe. He stops just before reaching the lancer, puts one hand behind his back and stands erect with his rapier raised. Finally, he moves in with a deft and, hopefully, lethal blow!

Rapier Attack - (1d20+6)

(7) + 6 = 13

Damage - (1d8+8, 1d6)

1d8+8 : (5) + 8 = 13

The opponent just barely brings it's shield up to deflect your blow.
Feb 7, 2017 4:41 pm
I stab it as it blocks Rawlyn's strike.

Alara successfully runs the lancer through and it turns to ash on your spear. As it does Rawlyn absorbs the soul of a Legrion Lancer. Rawlyn notices that when the figure faded to ash it dropped it's weapon. Looking down the trench it seems there is nothing else to stop you from arriving at the main gates. It seems open but you still cannot see within, as if what lies beyond is obscured by fog...
OOC:
The legrion lance is a spear except it deals 1d8 damage instead of 1d6

Rolls

Loot? - (1d20)

(12) = 12

I look to Rawlyn, "Beyond the fog is a powerful foe."
Feb 12, 2017 10:26 pm
"More powerful than these? Great." Rawlyn says, catching his breath. "Let us be done with it." Rawlyn picks up the spear and heads into the fog, ready to take on the beast beyond.
