Feeble estus gem. Shatter to restore 2d6 health. Small stone made up of crystallized souls. Restores a small amount of hp. Often found near abandoned corpses, as if it were what remains of the soul.
It takes some time and mangles the corpse but you eventually remove the debris. On the corpse you find a rusted pendant of of some worship value. It is emblazoned with two crossed lighting bolts behind a rearing lion.
The corpse is thoroughly mangled, only some shreds of cloth remain to suggest it once wore cloth and not armour.
Dragonslayer Amulet. In times of old the knights of the lord of light fought the dragons. One saint served the lord of light with loyalty and skill and rose to great power. This amulet belongs to a worshiper of that knight. Confers no benefit.
You have yet to explore the floor above you in the tower.
You cautiously ascend the stairs, there is no threat upstairs but there is a man dressed in priests robes he cries out uncertainly Hello? is there anyone there? You notice that he has a cane in his lap, the man is probably blind.
Harmia sheathes her swords as she approaches the man. "Aye," she says, "I am here. I'm Harmia; who are you?" She'll glance around the room for anything else of interest.
Harmia ponders Zellier for a moment, her brow quirked curiously, "No. I don't think so."
"Say," she starts, approaching the man and taking the amulet that she'd just acquired into her hand, "I found this pendant. Has a lion and a couple bolts of lightning. Does this mean anything to you?"
It sounds like you are describing a Dragonslayer amulet. It is given to pilgrims at the shrine of the dragonslayer, when they bring it here I give it the blessing of Ash. Would you like to receive the blessing of Ash? It has been some time since I bestowed it...
The priest offers some incatations and as he does so some ash coalesces out of the air and falls upon the amulet. As he completes the prayer the amulet shudders and glows, knocking the ash from it. It is finished.
Well the blessing of ash sustains the pilgrim through the hardship of the road. It will preserve your humanity if you fall, but only once. If you want further blessings I guess I can return it to the amulet for a donation.
