I'm not as familiar with the Forgotten Realms timeline as I should be, so bear with me if things get wonky.....

We are after the spellplague, after Mystra's Return, but still within a year or so of that occurrence. Let's call it 1481 DR?

Just out of curiosity, I looked into it. Mystra returned to life in 1479 DR

So full disclosure, I know next to nothing about Forgotten Realms lore.

You've been summoned to a place called "The Jeweled Bottle" in Neverwinter by a man calling himself Baron Harketts. The letter says only that he has heard through his connections of your skills and that he has a need for them. He is willing to pay handsomely if you would carry out one small duty for him.

That won't be a huge problem, as far as I can tell. I'm picking up a lot of it as we go. Those of you that DO know a bunch of it, feel free to help put up bumpers to help me out. :)

Is this game likely to be very RP-focused, or more of a dungeon crawl?

Honestly, not sure yet. I have a feeling with the crew we have assembled, there will definitely be some heavy RP going down. In terms of encounters, I'm going to pretty much just be using random tables to determine encounters, hoards, etc etc etc. If you guys want a dungeon crawl to commence, I can - ahem - persuade the dice to ensure that a dungeon is available. I half considered having you all just wake up in a dungeon and going from there. But we'll start with some fun RP and see where Lady Luck takes us.

Just waiting on CosmicKeyring's character submission/finalization and we'll jump into the game now. :)
