The next day of travel is uneventful. You manage to make your way without any beasts or weird things attacking you. I'll give you guys a chance to RP a bit of that day if you'd like. Magic Surge number is a 9 for those of you casting spells during that 24 hour period.

If you want to handwave the day, we'll proceed.

Days in Darklake: 5. Estimated time to Neverlight: 21 days.

Too much time on the water, I guess I will get to be an honorary Aquatic elf if were here much longer.

Dustin killed some time fishing with mage hand.

Dustin, as you use your magic hand to dip into the water and grab stuff, you manage to get another 22 pounds of fish (15 pounds clean and raw meat). However, as the final fish comes up, your mage hand hooked the strap on a watertight leather satchel. When you open it up, you find two vials wrapped in cotton tucked inside. The liquid is orange and flickering. You can see a haze of black smoke near the top of the vial, right up by the stopper.

Hey check this out, this lake certainly has a lot of things in it.

He tries to taste them to figure out what they do.

As you go to taste one of the two identical vials, you notice a plume of smoke wafts out when you remove the stopper. When the liquid hits your tongue:

These are so COOL ! Like a dragon we should be able to breath fire with these potions.

Dustin's child like fascination with magic shining through, Who would be the best to keep these with them ?
Feb 1, 2017 6:33 pm
perhaps fang or bildaweer. Someone could use it instead of a spell, like a back up....just incase.
Feb 1, 2017 6:36 pm
Well, you two want one of these ? I know the real reason Cemos doesn't want one, he might burn his beard. Dustin says teasingly.
Feb 1, 2017 6:53 pm
ahhhh blast you elf, now look you all just be careful where your breathin fire and the like, we don't want any Friendly Fire and we certainly don't want to have any of the related repercussions that might be caused by said fire.

OOC:
on the bottle is there a warning that says breath towards enemy? Lol.
Feb 1, 2017 7:03 pm
Dustin chuckled.

We could give it to Stool, he could be a fiery Shroom.
Feb 1, 2017 7:57 pm
I don't want one. More often than not in combat I don't have the opposable thumbs needed to open the vial.
Feb 1, 2017 8:00 pm
Dustin nodded and handed a vial to Stool and explained the potion to him.
The other he offered to Bildaweer if he indeed wanted it.

Bildaweer happily takes it. This will come in handy if I get exhausted from spell casting. Thank you!

Cemos looks at stool with a pale look on his face but then he sees how happy the little sprout is and he just shrugs with a nervous grin.

OOC:
Are we in a new day? Should I assume I cast Goodberry and/or Create Water today?
Feb 2, 2017 1:30 pm
Yes, you are at the end of day 5 traversing the Darklake region. Day 6 is about to "dawn"
Feb 2, 2017 2:17 pm
OOC:
Folks what do we need for supplies? Should I cast either of those spells today?
Feb 2, 2017 3:56 pm
Ahhhh your welcome Mentor ! Dustin smiled to Bildaweer.

For now save your magic in case we enter battle again, we have fish and Cemos purified our water so we should be ok for a bit. Thank you though, I am sure we will need your berries at a later time.

Dustin went back to paddle and then looked to Stool.

Stool my friend, your on the look out for danger ok ?

[ +- ] Boats and Watch Assignments
As Bildaweer and Georges take over their turns manning the course of their respective boats , everyone else settles into their non-command duties (sleeping, staring out into the void, practicing singing, whatever). As the middle of their watch period draws to a close, the boats are suddenly hit with a terribly rough undercurrent. The keelboats are ripped hither and yon, crates tumble and the hammocks swing wildly. Through quick action, and tireless efforts by all aboard, you manage to keep the boats upright and focused. Just as the torrential current abates, Bildaweer sees a large keelboat adrift on the water, barely moving. It looks to be some kind of trader's craft. The design is substantially different from yours. Rather than the somewhat symmetrical shape of yours, this one has a cabin at the aft of the boat, and it looks to be longer overall than your craft, likely with the intent to be carrying more people to manage the cargo. There are numerous crates and barrels, some tarped off, others not, visible just as you come upon it. At this point, you are all about 30 feet from the craft. You do not see anyone aboard.

What do you do?
[ +- ] This Keelboat (ignore the mast, this one doesn't have one.)
