Derendil manages, by a stroke of luck, manages to grab hold of the monitor next to the priestess. As he does so, he rends chunks of flesh from the fish creature. Just as he tosses him aside, the three shield-wallers take their swings. Even with the might of their onslaught, only Georges manages to get through their defenses, adding more chunks of monitor flesh to the ground, coated in dark black blood.

The fishy melee continues, and you see two fish go down in the shallow waters of the Darklake in a shriek. The Sea Mother priest swings his scepter at his daughter once more, swinging wide as she bends backwards and away. One of the faithful falls in a pile of scattered scales with a scream of pain as a monitor near him tears into him with spiny flippers and jagged teeth. Everywhere, the sounds of flesh slapping flesh echoes across the stone structures.

PCs are up!

Dustin's bolt streaks across the heads of the kuo-toa, burying itself in Blopp's shoulder. She shrieks in pain.

Sarith and Everytt move to engage the monitor with the others. Sarith, seemingly unsure of how is sword works, misses his swing. However, Everytt's strikes hammer home, biting deep into the bleeding fish. He is looking extremely weak, blood flows freely, running down the basin and into the water below.

I coat my spear with a vial of poison and move so that on my next turn I'll have a good shot at Plopp's daughter with it. Then as a bonus action I slam the Fiery Ball of Dying by Fire into the same target I hit with it before.

Rolls

Flaming Sphere damage - (2d6)

(53) = 8

The "medium rare" kuo-toa you hit with the fire before, is now a "medium well" kuo-toa as it shrieks at the searing heat. The kuo-toa had all, as part of their dancing and shifting movements, moved away from the fire.

It's more of a whitefish, not sushi grade at all. :D Will Derendil be taking an attack or no? I want to resolve his before they take their next turn.

OOC:
Keep forgetting him.
Derendil swipes at another kua-toa, trying to find another enemy in the chaos.

One of Derendil's claws lashes out, slicing across the back of a fish. The kuo-toa turns to look at the Quaggoth, horrified at the attack just as one of those guarding the Priestess swings out, hitting the kuo-toa in the head, killing him instantly. Derendil recoils, realizing only then that he had attacked a friend, not a foe.

The priestess raises her hand, and tendrils of glowing light reach out and wrap around several of those fish near her. You see several of their wounds close over, and their postures straighten up. As her fish begin to fight back, renewed by her restorative energies, you see a number of kuo-toa in the shallow water suddenly disappear! In their place, a building pile, nearly 5 feet deep, of pinkish red foam rises up from the water. Waves begin to lash, knocking the boats against the docks. You see the tips of what appear to be manta ray wings in the water. As one breaches the surface, you see the arm of a kuo-toa, still gripping its spear, in the things razor-filled mouth.

Suddenly, the Priestess screams out, a term you've heard and can now understand in Undercommon, Leemooggoogoon!

As she screams, her father brings his scepter up, clacking her jaw shut, and with both hands over his head, he brings it screaming down, driving through her eyes, causing them to lose focus as she goes limp, dead at Plopp's hand. Her supplicants begin to wail, dropping the weapons they have as they begin running away, clearly panicked by something.

Another sound rises above the burbling cries of the kuo-toa. The dark surface of the water farther out bubbles and begins to foam. A thick, oily tentacle bursts forth, followed by another. Then two monstrous heads break the surface, both resembling hideous, angry baboons with wickedly curved tusks. Both heads are attached to a single torso, and the monster's red eyes burn with bloodlust and madness. The creature rising from the Darklake must stand thirty feet tall or more, with water cascading down its back and shoulders. Upon reaching its full height, the great demon throws back both its heads and roars!

Every kuo-toa near you, both good and bad begin screaming out, babbling "Leemooggoogoon" over and over again.

The beast turns and begins to move, slowly, advancing on the town. As he moves, the heads roar and spew gibberish as its tentacles flail and slam into the water.

Charisma saving throws everyone, please. Don't forget to include your NPCs.
OOC:
Minor edit because I suck at writing. Derendil didn't die, it was a good fishy that died, partially because Derendil accidentally hit him.
As a reminder (my bad for not keeping the tag running), you are all in possession of 1 inspiration point (players at least, not NPCs).
