I saw the first one. I was going to go with it if I can't find a better one.

I've submitted Gunnar Ironshot, Hill Dwarf, Folk Hero, Gunsmith, your drinking buddy.

I'm just finalizing his equipment list (selling stuff so I can buy extra artisan's tools). He has a pair of Sending Stones, which I imagine will come in handy when Gunnar takes up sniping position. Will have to work out which one of you will hold the other stone.

What are sending stones?

"Such outlandish gear..."

It's basically a magic walkie-talkie!

SENDING STONES
Wondrous item, uncommon
Sending stones come in pairs, with each smooth stone
carved to match the other so the pairing is easily
recognized. While you touch one stone, you can use an
action to cast the sending spell from it. The target is the
bearer of the other stone. If no creature bears the other
stone, you know that fact as soon as you use the stone
and don't cast the spell.
Once sending is cast through the stones, they can't be
used again until the next dawn. If one of the stones in a
pair is destroyed, the other one becomes nonmagical.

Lunitar, I'm looking at my melee options. Since I'm crafting my own gun would you allow it to be an axe-gun, enabling it to be used as a battleaxe in melee?

Ooh that would be so cool!

I think that qualifies as a gnome, CancerMan!

Jabes, if I was playing a rogue (I almost did) that guy would be perfect.

This is tough! If I still had my copy of Photoshop from my sign-making days, I could cobble something together. I have the feeling that its absence is somehow tied to my ex packing my things a few years back.

Every happy-looking Dwarf looks drunk, psychotic, or mentally ill.

Aren't all dwarves drunk in any case? :-D

Honestly, what might work for you is to find a smiling bearded man. Crop the image to just show the face, neck, and shoulders and no one would know the difference.
Like these:

HAH! That got a good laugh out of me! I think I'd rather draw a stick figure than stare at one of those each time I posted!

I found a program close enough to Photoshop that I can tweak the one with the cards and beer with the lute on his back. I threw in a dulcimer, got rid of the cigar, and closed his mouth a bit. I'm trying to move his mouth so he looks more like he's smiling. His eyes still look crazy, but it's close enough. It's just an avatar, not central casting. I was just disappointed that nearly every drawing of a dwarf made them all look like angry assholes. None of them seemed to have what could pass for a genuine smile.

SWEEEEEET!

And, of course, the image is so small that you can't even see the work I did. Oh well.
Feb 6, 2017 6:01 am
You could always crop it or post the image.
Feb 6, 2017 6:18 am
Yeah post it here. In all games I make it a point to post an image in the character creation thread to show the other players how I visualize my PC.

I always have a hell of a time getting anything I post to actually show up. Where do you guys post yours?
