"We do see him from time to time in town, maybe once a month or so. Sometimes he comes to sell pelts and then purchases some arrows from Bildrath and a good meal from Arik at the inn. He's bound to realize that eventually the undead outbreak in the village has ceased..."
"Too long, month. Lets go speak Bildrath and Arik and see. If not there, then get silver." Veroth draws his own silvered rapier. "Silver works best on changing ones."
You head back towards the town square where Bildrath's Mercantile is located. The rain still continuing to fall. As you enter his establishment, Bildrath, looking as a weasel as much as ever, looks up and greets you.
"Well, hello there, welcome to my store."
His smiles soon fades as he spots Roland within the group.
Noticing the old bastards grim attention Roland will remove himself from the situation to better the teams chances of gathering information. Roland goes to the porch to sit and have a smoke while keeping an eye on the surroundings.
Veroth approaches the supply man. "We needs find Janis Baragh." He looks at the man with what he hopes is a non-threatening manner, but who knows with the earth-bound. "Have you seen him? Or expect him to come for supplies? It would be worth your while."
At first, Bildrath is very weary of the strange-looking strix, but then, at the mention of a possible payout, his eyes light up and he almost licks his lips.
"Worth my while eh? Yeah, I might know where he lives... depending on how much you're willing to pay for that information..."
"Don't you ever tire of running your gods forsaken mouth? Listen Shopkeep, for Palaver is done.We will have answers to our questions to save this town from its accursed beings. In order to do so we need to know where this man is. You can either get on board and help out, or I can have the Burgomaster declare a state of emergency and force you to get on board. And if I have to go about it that way, you best believe I will be taking more than a little information. Now out with it you yellow coward. Real warriors have warriors work to do, and you have stood in our way long enough"
Bildrath almost chokes on his own saliva after hearing Roland's threat. Clearly, the threat of having to part with his goods for free to help the citizen of this village is too much for him to bear...
"You... you wouldn't... Hmm... alright, I'll tell you where Janis lives, but then I no longer want to have to deal with any of you ever again. You promise to not come bother me ever again, and I'll tell you where he dwells."
"Fine. He found himself some small box canyon behind the Lysaga Hill. Apparently the place is quite defensible, plus, he's counting on the bad reputation of the nearby hill so that no one will come snoop around. Not entirely sure how wise it is to set up camp near a witch's sabbat, but hey, it seems to have worked out fine for him so far... Now I fulfilled my end of the bargain. Leave. I don't want to see any of you in my store ever again."
Roland turns silently, and walks out of the store. He will then sit back down on the porch, and consult his map, locating the place the shopkeep described.
Heather walks up to Roland and also looks at the map. This is her first view of the whole area and she tries to remember as much of the map as she can.
To Roland she says "You have certainly left an impression on the shop keeper."
