I am loathe to chase them. We should speak to Basidia. Inform the Sovereign of this development. Find out what action we should take.

As cemos turns to go with the group he pauses from time to time to pick up rocks or anything else he can find and puts it in his pack.

There's plenty of rocks and pebbles and such on the ground. It's not an overly clean cave system. You also find a number of mushrooms and scattered body parts.

Dustin watch out!!! Cemos runs over. You almost stepped this mushroom. make sure you point out any that you see. I ah need ... them... all of them.

Cemos picks his shrooms and moves on stopping only to pick up rocks and mushrooms he likes.

As you all follow Rasharoo back to Basidia, Cemos spends much of his time bending over and picking up loose mushrooms, rocks, and other cave detritus.
Ah, welcome back softers. Tell me, what did you discover in the Garden? Basidia asks.
Before you can get a chance, you see Rasharoo shudder and give off rapport spores. In a matter of moments, you see Basidia's face pale, a strange sight for a mushroom.
We cannot wait any longer softers. This wedding you've seen. This is an abomination. I will gather the loyal circles to me, hunters and explorers, and we will leave the Grove. Please, please come with us. I fear if you venture into Yggmorgus, the giant tower in your vision, you will not defeat the Demon Queen. Once out of the Grove, we will go our separate ways, but you should move to find a large city of some sort. The people need to be warned. Perhaps Gracklstugh or Blingdenstone. Either one will give you access to the surface world. Alert the Underdark citizens there and make haste for your surface lords. They need to know that the Demons walk free in the Underdark!

at this point any place has to be better then here. tell me bildaweer will there be a place I may acquire some new gear, particularly some new armor? cemos says as he points to the old acid burned hole in his armor.

Cemos, your armor will be quite fashionable in Blingdenstone and the ladies will be quite impressed. Assuming the demons haven't reached the city, we'll find a replacement or an armorer to make suitable repairs.

Blingdenstone will be a good location. They can spread the word from there and you can return to the surface, softers. Stool is welcome to come with us, or stay with you. I would advise he not go out of the Underdark. Life in the sun can be rough for us on the surface world. Basidia warns you.

Mechanically, it's a 16 day trip from Neverlight to Blingdenstone. With Rasharoo accompanying you, it'll cut it to 12. We can do this one of two ways and I have no particular ties to either one. We can either handwave the entire 12 days of travel and have an encounter or two OR we can do like we did for most of the travel and cover the actual travel in slightly more detail.load next
