At this point I think it's safe to assume Maeriks confused some heroin like exotic drug for gourmet ingredients for one of his cookout and is now spending his time chasing the dragon in some dope dens.

Back in the day I thought it was so over the top that Temple of Doom had that bad boss rip a dude's heart out!
You know, thinking about it right now...that was so over the top to have that guy rip that guy's heart out. A family adventure movie back then. Whoa!
Like Ox mentioned, I think they felt like they had to top the face melting of Raiders. Had to think big ideas: human sacrifice, body mutilation, eating bugs and monkey brains.

Temple of Doom definitely has a much darker feel. Children as slaves, brainwashing, ripping out hearts, etc.

Y'all,
Shifting to half-speed flexible rate for the weekend. I think I am going to have some decent time free to drop in some posts Sat/Sun. Might try to elaborate on some things, but I'll guard against setting up situations that puts people at risk of getting behind. No obligation to monitor or respond, but of course any input is welcome.
Out for the night, but boards are still open.
PS. Sat morning probably I'll update the details of how that Magistrate just got fucking ICED -- Dug-Nuna bringing the pain to the ruling class.
PPS. Ox, tell your bosses and customers that you have to lay off of a few hours a day coming up because you have to keep up with an imagination story game on the internet. I'm sending some stuff at Bryndianna. No choice.
