Sun is going down, big guy.

Maeriks will be in tattered purple pants when he reverts back to human form. Retro.

Damn J, just noticed that you spent an hour writing up all that. I never checked before, but I'm sure that's not a record. :thumbs_up_emoji: :cute_hearts_emoji: :bromance_emoji:
If only time would pass as quickly on other tasks like work as it does on D7D...

I remember times with live game seshes, friends and I would roll straight through from about 9pm until 5am and not bat an eye. Like in a time warp.

Written version here is similar I guess. I'll sit down to make a quick entry, look down and a 1 hour timeslot: gone.

Too bad you can't bill that time out. Ha!

Man J, boy do I remember those nights. Was almost one night every weekend, until sunrise. And it always went by so quick. Great memories.

on Medical Treatment:

If Thorn receives Medical Treatment (attention from Iasu in form of Healer Feat effort or Poultice), he can recover from 3 Levels of Exhaustion to 2 Levels of Exhaustion.

If Iasu is administering Med Treatment the whole time, we have to incorporate the timing of it. I'll need to see a list of what Jabes wants Iasu to accomplish. Also need to track med supply levels. I know in real life a field medic's med bag can get blown out and exhausted with about two major trauma patients. This location has some cloth and towels that can be used for bandaging, but I'd like to hear if there is any tracking on healer kit resources and how they are expended. Also, if Iasu needs a Short Rest, he has to take one after the total med treatment plan.
Poultices: 0/4 uses
Healer's Kit: 17/20 uses

from Healer feat:
As an action, you can spend one use of a healerโ€™s kit to tend to a creature and restore 1d6+4 hit points to it, plus additional hit points equal to the creatureโ€™s maximum number of Hit Dice. The creature canโ€™t regain hit points from this feat again until it finishes a short or long rest.

from Medic feat:
During a short rest, you can clean and bind the wounds of up to six willing beasts and humanoids. Make a DC 15 Wisdom (Medicine) check for each creature. On a success, if a creature spends a Hit Die during this rest, that creature can forgo the roll and instead regain the maximum number of hit points the die can restore. A creature can do so only once per rest, regardless of how many Hit Dice it spends.

from Poultices feature:
If you spend 1 minute applying one of your poultices to a wounded humanoid creature, thereby expending its use, that creature regains 1d6 hit points for every two ranger levels you have (rounded up).

So it looks like we are good as far as supplies are concerned. Iasu can treat everybody via the Medic feat during the Short Rest. Additional healing via the Healer feat at 1 Action (6 seconds?) per patient, but there is the matter of the last sentence there. During the last Short Rest, Iasu treated Kray and Bryn.

I am not seeing the note addressed to me in this post. I think there may be an extra space there.

That one is a open to interpretation. So the question, I think, is: When can the same person receive Medic treatment (Max on a single HD roll for HP recovery) again after he received it the first time?

I guess I'll weigh in. I think that the last sentence is a guard against stacking up multiple HD max-outs per a single Short Rest. It seems to be talking about "a Hit Dice", not "any number of Hit Dice". So if a person gets the Medic max-roll on one HD during one Short Rest, I think he can do it again at another Short Rest.

With that in mind, I think Kray and Bryn could both receive Medic Treatment again and substitute a max number for one HD in lieu of rolling for it.

In Ep 2, I see Kray rolled for 3 HD. So to cut to the chase in a practical sense: Ez you could change one of those rolls, your choice, to a max HP recovery of 10.

Ox, if Bryn does Medic treatment, he can get a max number instead of a roll on one HD if he wants.

I think Thorn only got 1 Death Mark. If so, that's why he shifts up 1 Exhaustion Level with this exceptional Medical Treatment.
Thorn moves from 3 Exhaustion Levels of ZHPS to 2 Exhaustion Levels.
Note: If I'm wrong about that, X, and Thorn got 2 Death Marks, unfortunately that improvement on Exhaustion is not permitted.
I looked over the fight and found just here where Thorn gets a Death Mark. So looks like Thorn is at Level 2 Exhaustion.

Players' Club,

I'm walking the tightrope now dealing with some RL demands. I want to keep up the game, but will admit I'm struggling to do so. Things could shift abruptly for me, and I may have to step away.

I don't want to talk about it much here. Just feel like I need to write this up now with things as they are, to give you some transparency and what could be retroactively a bit of a warning if I have to close.

I love the game, and mostly the exchange with you guys. It's just a heavy lift sometimes that I have to make sure doesn't make me neglect higher priorities. My fault if it does, not yours of course. Not trying to make it weird or make you guys feel guilty. Just trying to explain and shoot straight with you guys. I know you would have me step away if I need to for the greater good, and I appreciate it.

To be clear though: I'm going to stay at it as I can. I definitely want to see what happens next.

Thanks,

J-Mystery

More like J-Tease, the way you're blue ballin' us with this story! Sure, it's the ending of ep. 2 but that ending just began!

In Layman's terms: take whatever time you need the adjust whatever you need to, we'll be here when you get back; save if any readjustments pop up for someone else. Life gets crazy sometimes and sometimes you just have to step back, grab it by the horns and say 'Alright, chill dude'. It just happens, no fault by anyone, just the way it is. Also kind of realized this was supposed to be in Layman's terms but ended in some weird life-horn metaphor. Fuck you Layman, grab that by the horns and suck it. Also found out, while seeing if putting 'Fuck you Layman' and telling him to suck it was in bad juju, turns out Layman's terms wasn't named after a person like Schrรถdinger's Cat or something...this whole time I thought it was.
Quote:
The term layman has today come to mean "a person who does not belong to a particular profession or who is not expert in some field." It also has a somewhat less commonly known meaning of "a person who is not a member of the clergy", which is its original definition. Layman derived from the two existing words "lay" (from the Old French "lai", meaning "secular") and "man", hence the "non-cleric" meaning.
[ +- ] Also: greetings, "female human".
huh.

Damn. This shit is crazy, y'all. Heavy. Am I getting stressed out for all of these fake characters' problems and danger? Sheesh!
Should we launch "Bright Thrones" after this, just for a boost?
No humans. All elves, gnomes, halflings. Maybe a couple of those leopard guys. High frequency on Bards and Enchantment Wizards. Mostly a life of leisure, plenty, and great lasting relationships. Sharp limits on malevolence and its first, second, and third order effects?

Well in any case, at least my RL problems aren't as bad as your fucking characters' are? haHA!
Shit J, we might as well just play Middle Earth and roll out a lifetime of leveling up Hobbits' social skills, cooking and partying to L20.

Yo, Hyp. I know your vocab is off the charts in almost every direction. Far surpassing mine for sure, but I'm pretty sure now that you're not a Church guy.

Bro, if you ever stop by DC one weekend, get with me on Sunday. We will smoke a big bag of sticky green around 10am. Walk across the street to my parish and hit 11am Mass. I'll show you what "the laity" looks like: all of us sitting in the pews listening to the guy dressed like a wizard in the front.

After that, we'll go back to my house across the street - grill out steak and shrimp while drinking a 12-pack of Coors Banquet. During that time, I'll go over some other badass Catholic vocabulary. Wait until you hear what things are like crozier, camerlengo, logos, and ruah. It's pretty fucking high-speed.

After that we can practice archery or shoot some guns.

Fun fact: I'm actually the only religious one of the household.
Another fun fact: Way back when a girl a little older than I took me to church, I was super baked; she found out and I wasn't invited anymore. Kind of haven't been a church guy since.
Another fun fact: I was pretty baked when I rambled on my previous post above.

I've actually been really wanting to go to Washington to see snow for the first time. Probably won't happen anytime soon because I have a -2 to free time; tonight is my first day off after working 7 straight. If I ever find myself in Washington though, I'd be up for it; then we can make fun of the rest of these losers and they'd never know it. It'd be a little Washington secret, shhh.

@Ez @Jabes @Hyp - Yo, that was a solid set of damned good posts. Sorry to break up the amazing RP with a bull taking a bath.
