BR6
Arrow shot miss.
Kray's arrow sails past bird, over the deck, and out into the water beyond. The bird man's mobility is impressive and frustrating, and makes for a challenging shot.
Fastest and most direct route to Talius: climb back down the sharp bank of roots, down into the low ground close to the deck, hug the deck line right down to the waterline, and stage up right there at the shallow water to provide "sea level" coverage to Talius and hopefully Qiu if he emerges.
Concerns: would cut off visibility of Bird and Ivor (they would be at an angle nearly directly above, with the deck itself blocking LOS), does not give high ground visibility to any developments on the water so some clarity may be lost on the ground-level view. and the visibility of the cabin itself would be completely gone.
Route for high coverage to both Ivor/Bird and Talius: roll back south and east, take the longer walk on the OTHER higher ridge (where the line of Hive guys once stood on their original charge, where Kray got injured so bad originally, where the speaking to Fingol was done). This is a longer route, but all the while could maintain within norm range bow for Ivor/Bird on the upper deck while also maintaining visual on the lake and Talius. Also keeps some high ground visibility throughout.
Concerns: It is a longer movement, and may put shots out to the lake into Long Range at least for part of the walk, for moments may put Kray a little far out from the rest of the team nearest to the cabin.
Alternate - Approach and Position on the Upper Deck itself: Kray could invest Movement to transition from the upper close bank to actually up on the edge of the upper deck itself. It would mean shimmying and climb/walking across a jumble of tree trunk, roots, and boards of the house, I'm picturing it taking Movement to end out this round and then forward paid Movement in next round (BR7) because it is a stretch of difficult terrain that requires free use of hands. But it could stage Kray up in a good position to keep range attacks going at Bird next round, open options of invading the house, open options of crossing the deck to really gain max LOS/LOF out over the lake and bringing up great visibility looking down on Talius and hopefully Qiu and his underwater oppressors if they emerge. Also gives option for close support to Ivor if necessary.
Concerns: Kray would be weaving into Bird's movement range on the deck, maybe Ivor could partition and position to help and guard, but there would be no way to guarantee total risk-free positioning since Bird may be able to lunge out for melee attack depending on circumstance.
So those are what I see as the choices.
Also this in note only, before Kray makes a decision to move...[note="Ezeriah"]Kray notices the front middle door of the cabin,
at the center of the deck, open slightly at first and then a little more. Since the door's hinges are on the side of the door frame that is closest to Kray, and the door opens outward onto the deck, Kray cannot yet see who or what is opening the door.
