Bryn
TR1

Though Bryn tries to exploit the Goat-man's forward crash into Kray's shield, Bryn is instead foiled by the speed and wild thrashing movement of the barbarian. Both of Bryn's kukri blade come close to the mark, but neither are able to do any real damage.

Doirind
TR1 (cont'd)

Action Surge plus Movement, Attack Khopesh

Doirind begins to see all of Ivor's effort trying to topple her hated husband while he is entangled, and begins to see the wisdom of this strategy. With a burst of energy and speed, she leaps back into action again as the Bear spends valuable seconds wrestling to get free of the net.

Doirind grabs the curved khopesh blade from the floor nearby, circles around behind the giant man, and heaves with all of her strength at his legs.

Attempt khopesh Trip. Normally at Disadvantage. Restrained condition offsets to Advantage.
Hit: Opponent Tripped. Opponent has Prone Condition.
OOC:
Holy shit, it worked.
The curved blade hooks under one of the giant masked man's calves, lifting it up off of the ground only slightly, but it is enough. As Donnchad tries to reset his foot to stabilize, it catches on the net and his weight shifts too far to recover. Mighty Bear crashes down to the hard stone floor hard, the net still bundling around him as he tries frantically to manage his axes to cut free.

Seeing her foe toppled and now struggling, Doirind almost acts on the urge to fall upon him with more attacks from the curved blade she now holds.
But she sees Donnchad's dangerous axes thrashing relentlessly at the net and instead shows shrewd caution. She looks up at Ivor and nods.
She circles around a step or two to the side, where she and Ivor are positioned on opposite sides of the entangle giant.
And then she takes two steps back.

Remaining Movement: back up 5', out of enemy Attack range

She rares back with the khopesh, holding it high and out, prepared to deliver a devastating blow. But not until she can sees just the right moment to exploit when her villainous husband inevitably cuts himself free from the net and tries to stand. When Ivor and Doirind will attack from opposing angles.

Last Call: Top of Round 1

I'm going to step away for a bit, but as I scan through what is happening, I think that wraps it up for Actions that will take place so far in TR1.

Leaving the opening here unless anyone needs to chime in to give last adjustments, Bonus Actions, Movement, or any other boost to performance before I shift over to Bottom of Round 1: Revenge of the Hive.

Let me know, y'all.

Final battle,

OOC:
Yeah it'll take his Action to get disentangled and end Restrained, and his movement to stand up from Prone. I wish I could've done more (adding Grappled to the effects stack would've been nice) but those maneuvers weren't doing anything besides tacking on a trickle of extra damage.

Okay, I'll bite:
Nodding to Doirind, Ivor lets go the net and takes a step back opposite her with the thrashing Bear in between them. Shifting the ulathi dagger to his left hand, he draws his handaxe with his right.

OOC:
Now imagine if Bear fails his escape attempt!

Bear
BR2

Finding himself on the ground and entangled, Donnchad the Bear of the Hive finally secures enough of a grip on the net to try to cut it and tear free.

Attack 1: Axe vs. Net.

The stubborn net loosens and slips, and does not cut enough for him to escape!
He frantically chops again with his larger axe.

Attack 2: Axe vs. Net

Finally the net is damaged enough for Donnchad to tear through. Disoriented, stumbling, and distracted, the Bear stands up, the disabled net at his feet.

Attack Hit. Net damaged to allow escape. End Restrained condition.
Movement: Stand Up. End Prone condition.

But he has spent so much time off-balance that he is unable to deliver any offense against the two foes who are beset against him on both sides. Still yet he has worked himself into a battle frenzy.

Bonus Action: Rage

Phantom
BR1

Rigin is observably off of his footing for the first moments of the combat within the runic circles. Barely dodging a series of fatal blows, he stops for a split second to reset position and launch a counter attack.

The Phantom holds no weapons, but he draws two clinched fist into his chest and then punches them forward side-by-side in an unusual simultaneous thrust, aiming right at Maerik's forearms.

Special Attack.
Maeriks must make comparative STR (Athletics) or DEX (Acrobatics) check in opposition to Attack roll result.

Then in a quick turn, the wrapped fiend turns to face Thorn, though not striking out at him. Instead the Phantom thrusts his hands up in the air, pointing them towards Thorn's head with his fingers open and curved in, like two clawed hands clutching onto an unseen orb.

Thorn's mind is suddenly wracked with pain and he finds himself fighting to maintain consciousness.

Special Technique.
Thorn must make WIS save, DC 13.

As Thorn wrestles with the confusion, the robed masked-man make an elusive shift and slide in an apparent attempt to relocate behind Thorn.

Special Movement.
Thorn must make comparative DEX (Acrobatics) check. At Disadvantage.
OOC:
Last roll below is inaccurate. Modifier is 1 point too high. Reduce result by 1. Comparative target for DEX (Acrobatics) comparison is 20.

Cealwin, Goat of the Hive, begins his fury and slams straight into Kray's shield at exceptionally high speed, intent on driving past the defender and striking at his true target.

Bonus Action: Rage
Movement: includes attempt at Overrun. Requires comparative STR (Athletics) from Kray.

Cealwin heaves in with his full weight and blasts Kray out of the way, continuing his charge towards the center of the room. The masked barbarian raises his spear to strike. He is charging straight toward the Dark Throne, approaching it from its right flank.

Phantom
BR1 (cont'd)

An invisible but eruptive force burst out just as the Phantom's fists slam into Maerik's forearms. There is no flash or sound, but Maerik's feels a sensation of explosive pain. His arms are blown down and away, and his grip is broken in both hands. The Locust Spear is cast to the ground and then sent clattering away about 10 or 15 feet.

With blinding speed the Phantom turns attention to Thorn, making the strange claw-gripping hand figuration in the air ahead of him. When he does, Thorn's mind is wracked with a pain like a hot iron is being thrust into his eyes. For a moment, his vision goes completely white, with glowing whirls spinning through like burning stars.

Moving with the deadly grace of a panther, Rigin deftly glides around Thorn's guarding blade and around behind him, all the while holding his hands extended in the strange formation, like they are gripping an invisible globe.

The Phantom now stands behind Thorn, and Thorn is between Phantom and Maeriks. Thorn shudders and shifts for a moment, rigid and tense, his mouth and eyes flung open wide in pain. Then just as suddenly, he calms, steadying his stance as his body stills throughout. His sword locks back up to high guard, strong grip with both hands.

But Thorn's eyes are still wide with terror. His face is quaking and twitching. First he coughs out a few stuttering chuckles, but then he is bellowing out a disturbing, hideous laugh. Now he has a face of horror and madness as he raises his heavy blade, laughing out loud like a raving lunatic.

Against his will, Thorn takes a menacing step towards Maeriks.

Round 1 Update
OOC:
Ez and Ox have option to spend Reactions in Round 1 for Kray and Bryn to capitalize on Opportunity Attack against Goat.

After that, I'll finish outside input for Round 1.

Can set up for Top of Round 2 after that.

Kray relaxes at the last moment as Goat drives through, twisting to his left with the barreling force crashing through his shield. Not one to miss an opportunity, Kray immediately follows through with the natural momentum of the twist, lashing out at Goat's back with his yatagan.
