OOC:
Let's say Frick walks in as this post is taking place
Auntie Zilla responds to Elspa's question:

"Oh but that's why you're all stuck here! That big ship the pirates got, what with all their thunder cannons, well it just won't get passed the dead things in the water. They are going to destroy the black pearl so all the dead things die. Didn't anyone tell you that yet? Maybe the villagers don't want you to know ... "

Jabes, when you're ready, do a survival roll for your hunting, and roll two d6s for random encounters. I would normally do it, but I want to give you and Deadpool_qc some space to interact for a bit. Roll when you feel the time is right to move forward.
Jun 12, 2017 8:39 pm
...Zilla has...power...She shares it with some, but it seems it always has a price...and you don't always know what it will be... Moss looks at the runes tattooed on his arm an suddenly realises he is not alone, he promptly covers it back with his sleeve. We'll be hunting for food mainly but keep an eye for those ancestors...we don't know if they are near or not. I'll do the tracking, you follow and keep an eye out for anything dangerous for us. We should also move with stealth. Moss switches to hand signs learned along with thieves cant, Ready ?

"Maybe," says Elspa. "But I also want to smash this pearl, so this waterfall orb is going to help me." She squints at Auntie Zilla. "How do you know so much about this?"
Jun 13, 2017 1:18 am
Frick stands off to the side, listening to the ongoing conversation with interest, ALL of the undead will go away if we break the pearl? Gonna have to remember that...

"I never seen no one wi' power share it. They throw ye a bone an' call it sharin' but now ye owe 'em an' thass them GAININ' power, not sharin' nor carin'!" Jarveena mutters as she stumbles along behind Moss. "Them wi' power's always figh'in', an' jus' bein' all hungry for MORE, an' alway'h steppin' on us simple folk. Power's like poison. No thank'h!"

Rolls

Auntie looks at Elspa with a shrug.

"Auntie collect secrets like pretty shells on the beach, and Auntie has been around for a long time."
Jun 13, 2017 7:37 am
"How do I get the orb from the waterfall?" Elspa asks, looking for more secrets.

Ygne noisily blows some air through flapping lips as she rises to her feet. She rounds the boat, standing behind Rygnar, planting her hands upon her hips. "The others are gone," she says, her tone somewhat quieter than what is typical for her. "So," she continues, "What's wrong with ya? An' I ain't fuckin' off, and if you chase me, I can run faster than you, and I'll just keep askin'. Might's'well give me an answer, yeah?"
Jun 13, 2017 11:52 am
Rygnar pays little attention to Ygne, sitting in silence as she drones on and remains quiet for a short time after she finishes before letting out a growl followed by a low voice "They can't be gone, boats are still here." He stands and still in a low tone "Nothing." Then he begins walking away, back towards the ocean, while mumbling out "There I answered your stupid question, now let me be."
Jun 13, 2017 12:12 pm
"Not gone gone, Muscles. Just away." She speaks casually, falling in line behind Rygnar as he begins walking away. "You're a bad liar, you know," She says offhandedly, idly kicking some sand as she walks, "Tell me true. You were crying." In every way, she sounds sincere in her curiosity.
Jun 13, 2017 12:29 pm
No further words are spoken by Rygnar as he makes his way to the ocean's shore. When he arrives, he stares down at the water, in silence, as it washes over his boots, cleaning more and more of the blood with each passing wave. Still looking down, still in a low voice, he speaks only a couple words "You were crying."
Jun 13, 2017 12:41 pm
Ygne is taken aback, and her stance softens. She composes herself once more with haste. Ygne brushes a fist across her nose and sniffs audibly. "I don't remember that," she says quietly, partially hoping Rygnar wouldn't hear her and catch her in the lie. She speaks up a little louder and adds, "Tears just come when there's weakness we gotta push out of us. That's what I heard, anyway." She looks about for a moment, still a bit further from the waves than the barbarian is, before continuing, "Is... that true, you think?" Her tone is full of uncertainty.

OOC:
It was more of a kid saying 'No, you stole the cookies' when you catch the kid stealing cookies.
Rygnar continues to stare at the water "I don't care." and he continues to stare "Why did you go with the others, why do you stay to bug me?" He then begins to walk deeper into the sea before kneeling down and starts to shovel handfuls of water over himself.

OOC:
I got it! Ygne is self conscious of her own displays of emotion, and would've perceived what he said to be in reference to when she was worked up earlier.
Ygne scowls at Rygnar's response, wishing she could draw back her words in favor of something meaner. She takes a moment of pause and then replies, "Don't want to be around Moss. Why aren't you with Elspa? You're being weird."
Jun 13, 2017 1:47 pm
OOC:
Haha, I love it, the ego between these two is enough to suffocate.
Rygnar finally submerges himself underwater and remains under for at least minute before resurfacing. He walks back up to Ygne, and shakes his body like a dog to dry off, spraying water in every direction then casually responds "Don't want to be around Zilla. You're being weirder. What happened with 'wanting nothing to do with me', why do you want to talk with me?"
Jun 13, 2017 3:59 pm
Almost a whisper, Moss answers,You're right, power can be like poison. But poison is still just a tool to be used, and when you're alone, you learn to use all the tools you can get your hands on to survive...Moss stays silent for a moment....Let's hunt if we want something good to eat tonight...

Ygne waits patiently as Rygnar remains underwater. As his shaking splatters her with water, she simply turns her head away, but doesn't look perturbed, as though this is normal behavior for her, too. "I can change my mind." She says stiffly, crossing her arms as she's dwarfed by his height, "I still hate you, but you aren't as bad when you don't have nothin' to scream at me for."

JARVEENA and MOSS
Trekking through the dense underbrush of the mountainous jungle island is a sweaty, time-consuming exertion. In the shadows of ancient trees, you encounter curiosities that you use as landmarks to anchor your journey, including vine-shrouded stone formations such as arches and pillars that you can't tell are natural or the remnants of ancient buildings.

Despite the noise of all the living things of the jungle, the dense foliage obscures everything. Your most promising lead is a set of tracks of some kind of man-sized bird or lizard. Stealthing through the jungle in its wake leads you a massive, hollow dead tree lying horizontally. The front of the tree is agape; a dark round, hole fifteen feet across. You can hear the sound of scraping coming from within the trunk.

"Well, change it again 'cause I don't talking to you.'' with another heavy shake and another torrent of water, Rygnar leaves and makes his way back to the boats then resumes sitting when he gets there.
