OOC:
My advatage roll was less.

OOC:
Revised Ranger, favored enemy +2 to damage rolls against your favored enemy. He picked humanoids
Jun 22, 2017 10:09 am
OOC:
Figured it was favored enemy.
Mel stands above the easy target but the pitiful look of it, you can't help but feel a bit sorry for it; the blow slams into the ground on the side of it. Laucain's arrow sails through the air, not taking trajectory into effect, the arrow lands right by the side on the prone goblin. Valius sends three glowing darts into the thicket, which produce three separate impacts followed by a horrid screech of pain as a lifeless goblin falls down from the embankment.
Jun 22, 2017 11:51 am
As we see the horses I stop the cart and grab my spear. After the goblin tumbles down in front of Mel and both his and Laucian's attacks miss I take cover behind the front seat. I yell out to Mel, "How could you miss? he gave you the perfect opportunity!"
Following Valius' example I also try to check for more goblins.

Rolls

Perception check - (1d20+4)

(3) + 4 = 7

OOC:
I see bushes and trees! Haha
Jun 22, 2017 12:19 pm
OOC:
Does the Perception Check count as my Action/Attack?
Jun 22, 2017 12:45 pm
OOC:
Yes, doing checks during combat use up your action but there is a thing called 'passive perception'. With the stealth roll I rolled for the goblins, everyone would of noticed them. I'll let you retract your perception check action to make a different action.
Jun 22, 2017 1:02 pm
In that case, I will charge toward the nearest goblin other than the one by Mel and attack with my spear with both hands. And if that doesn't kill him or there is another goblin close enough I will also take a bonus action to make an unarmed strike.

Rolls

Spear and DMG - (1d20+6, 1d8+4)

1d20+6 : (15) + 6 = 21

1d8+4 : (2) + 4 = 6

Unarmed strike and DMG - (1d20+6, 1d4+4)

1d20+6 : (15) + 6 = 21

1d4+4 : (3) + 4 = 7

Jun 22, 2017 1:38 pm
Ruthann runs up the embankment and cleanly thrusts his spear through the goblins abdomen. It lets out a pained squeal before Ruthann spins around and brings his foot against the goblins head; the goblins squeal is silenced instantly and replaced with a loud crack as it's head is split open.

The goblin prone on the ground, stands and swings it scimitar at Mel, resounding in a pitiful clang against her armor. The remaining one in the thicket, vanishes.
OOC:
Top of the round, PC's are up.

Rolls

Goblin 1 - (1d20+4, 1d6+2)

1d20+4 : (2) + 4 = 6

1d6+2 : (1) + 2 = 3

Secret Roll

Jun 22, 2017 2:21 pm
Aha, looks like this little ones friend has up and left him, anyone know where he's going? Valius hops down to the goblin and attempts to knock him out with the handle of his dagger.
OOC:
Well looks although this raises a question on criticals. How are we handling them doubling damage dice or rolling critical dice? Not that it matters for my roll either way but good to know for future reference.

Rolls

Dagger + Damage (non lethal) - (1d20+5, 1d4+3)

1d20+5 : (20) + 5 = 25

1d4+3 : (1) + 3 = 4

In case we are using critical dice method - (1d4)

(1) = 1

Jun 22, 2017 2:37 pm
OOC:
Double the dice, so a critical with a dagger is 2d4.
The dagger's pommel strikes the goblin in the head, it wobbles a bit before righting itself, still slightly shaky though.

Ruthann calls down to Mel, "See that Mel? That's how you do it. Have you been slacking on your swordplay?"
Jun 23, 2017 4:26 am
I give Ruthann the "stink eye" then thrust my sword through the goblins gut, without looming away from Ruthann. "My sowrdplay is fine, brother. I just got...excited."
OOC:
Want to do slow death if I hit. You know, to where it will bleed out but we can still ask it a couple questions.

"Let's not get to excited. I believe one ran away. It's possible it will regroup with more for another attack." Takes an arrow out of his quiver and readys his longbow. "Lady Oneag, keep that one alive. I'm able to speak Goblin."

Ruthann would like to check the bodies of the goblins for loot or whatever else they might have on them.

Rolls

Loot check - (1d20+2)

(17) + 2 = 19

Jun 23, 2017 6:21 am
GreyRook says:
"Let's not get to excited. I believe one ran away. It's possible it will regroup with more for another attack." Takes an arrow out of his quiver and readys his longbow.
Leaving her sword in the goblin's gut she turns to Laucain. "And how would you know that Loocane." My tone is very mocking.
GreyRook says:
"Lady Oneag, keep that one alive. I'm able to speak Goblin."
"He lives smith'son. Ask your question before he no longer does." I walk over to Ruthann and whisper to him.
"Where did Gundren find these guys?"

"My thanks Lady Oneag." Puts his longbow and arrow away and heads to the goblin to get information. Now next to the goblin pinned down by Mel's sword, (in goblin) "My friends and I are in a hurry to get these supplies delivered. Tell me what you know about the two dead men and why you where hiding from us."

Rolls

Persuasion - (1d20+5)

(7) + 5 = 12

Jun 23, 2017 6:35 am
Ruthann whispers back, "I think they met in a tavern. Laucain doesn't talk much about himself but Valius seems ok."

Whispering back. "Yes Valius seems 'ok'." I make the air quotes when I say ok. I turn and yell to Luacain. "What have you found out oh mighty goblin whisperer?" If possible there is more sarcasm in this sentence then the last one to him.
