OOC:
How far away from our destination are we?
Jun 24, 2017 6:39 pm
"I do think we should eliminate this goblin threat and, frankly, Gundren was the one paying us correct? We could deliver the cart to.... Who are we delivering the cart to again?... Anyway, we could deliver it and then return for the goblins. Of course, if Gundren and Sildar aren't dead yet then they might be by the time we get back. Thoughts guys?"

OOC:
Around 5 hours.

Also, you're delivering the wagon to Barthen's Provisions, where the owner will pay you.
Jun 24, 2017 7:16 pm
"Well if no one objects, then let's just deliver the cart and ask for information about these goblins before returning to deal with them. Should we mark the goblin trail somehow so we can find it when we return?"
Jun 24, 2017 7:17 pm
OOC:
That was supposed to be Ruthann speaking... Oops!

"To much of a risk to hide the cart. We'd be taking a chance of bandits or goblins finding it. Ruthann, I'm fine with delivering the cart to Phandalin. I've got some torches. We could use one as a marker if we can't find anything useful."

"So, basically what I said." Mel scoffs. 'Typical males. Never listening to a woman."
Jun 25, 2017 3:51 pm
Ruthann punches her in the arm lightly and says, "Oh come on Mel. We are in a party. Each of us has an opinion. 'Sometimes' (finger quotes) other people's ideas are better than yours." He calls up to Valius, "I know you're itching to kill some goblins, but let's deliver the cart and try to get some more information first. We will return afterwards. Laucain, go ahead and mark the trail and let's continue."
Jun 25, 2017 4:20 pm
Valius shakes his head, worried for the fate of whoever got taken. Friend, it's not the killing that I'm wanting, it's the fact they have two bodies with them, they could still be alive and may not be if we don't make haste. Why not hitch the horses down this side track it only looks used by goblin's so I'm sure we'd see if anyone was coming for them.

"And the cart? Where should we hide that? I'm willing to try to get the cart and oxen,
OOC:
we keep calling them horses, whoops!
into the goblin path but I will need help from you guys."
Ruthann steers the cart towards the goblin path.
Jun 25, 2017 6:32 pm
She turns to Valius. "I understand your concern Valius but we were hired for a job, not hunt down goblin kidnappers. We still get paid without Gundren. Besides, who is to say that theu are still alove. If not, then we have not only wasted our time hunting for a deadman but we have lost out on the gold for delivering the supplies. Our best bet is to get these supplies to their destination. After that we can find out if this...Pandayline knows anything about these goblins. I think that is the best we got right now."
Jun 25, 2017 6:33 pm
"Valius and Laucain, would you mind pulling the bushes back as much as possible so it doesn't look like we came through here? Mel could you help be my eyes to get it through safely or maybe go in front of the oxen to help steer them?"
Ruthann attempts to drive the cart up the embankment and into the goblin path. (With whatever help the party decides to give me)
OOC:
My Dexerity score is 18 (+4) in case you decide to incorporate that into the attempt

Rolls

Vehicle check - (1d20+2)

(18) + 2 = 20

Throwing her hands up in frustration. "So, we have decided to just ingore the girl altogether." In as sarcastic a tone as she can muster she speaks to Ruthann. "Is there anything else ypu need my liege. Clothes washed, food cooked?" She takes a sarcastic bow then rolls her eyes and jumps off the cart amd smacks the oxen butt to get them moving up the embankment.
OOC:
EDIT: I think your 18 beats my 5.

"I'll make it up to you later, somehow. I promise." Ruthann gives her a thumbs up and a corny grin. "Each of us has a valid point for what to do here. Deliver the goods like we were hired to do and earn some money (while potentially allowing 2 men to die), or hide the cart and try to deal with these goblin threat and then deliver the cart (potentially saving 2 lives). Plus if we save Gundren, he will make sure we get paid, and possibly a bonus, anyways."

Digs a small hole and puts a torch in it to mark the location. Yelling out to the rest of the party "Aren't we on a deadline to deliver the goods? If so, the sooner we deliver everything, the sooner we can come back and see if Gundren and Sildar are still alive." Finishing up with setting up the marker, I head over to the bushes to pull them back.
Jun 25, 2017 8:18 pm
"The cart is already halfway up, we are not changing direction now." She walks a few feet ahead. "I'll scout ahead and see what I can see. Loucage, come with me. Your skills my be of some use. Valius, watch the cart with my brother" She turn to walk then shouts back at Valius. "And he better be alive when I get back." She walks off.

For the better part of 10 minutes, the oxen struggle with pulling the wagon up the embankment before finally gaining purchase at the top; the rest of the trek finishes rather quickly and you find yourself at the top of the embankment, part way into the hidden path.
Jun 25, 2017 9:22 pm
"It's Laucain. Not Loucage!" yelling out as I runs towards Mel to help scout ahead.
