Sheathing her sword she gets a pouty look. "You ruin all my fun brother." Grabbing Laucain's arm before he walks off. "You better leave some for me Lowshin." She lets go and point two finger at her eyes then points them at Laucain.

"I'll make sure there's enough for all of us." smiling as I make my way into the cave.

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+6)

(10) + 6 = 16

Jun 29, 2017 6:15 am
I draw my dagger, while muttering incoherent curses at Laucain. I bring my arm back ready to throw it at him.
Jun 29, 2017 6:18 am
Ruthann snatches Mel's wrist before she can throw the dagger and says quietly, "Now, Now Mel, that's enough of that!" He steps up behind her and whispers over her shoulder, "Why do you let him get under your skin? He's just doing it in response to you messing his name up all the time."
Jun 29, 2017 8:17 am
Mel turns, giving her brother a confused look. "I am not. Why would you say that? And he doesn't get under my skin."

Valius lets the siblings argue it out, taking a look if he notices any enemies near the cave mouth.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+2)

(19) + 2 = 21

OOC:
Mel, Ruthann, and Valius where are you relative to the cave mouth and stream?
Laucain,, where are you headed?
Jun 29, 2017 2:14 pm
OOC:
Left of the stream still, about 40ft back from the entrance. Near some shrubs I imagine trying to stay mostly unseen but failing.

Rolls

Stealth check (For if needed) - (1d20+3)

(2) + 3 = 5

Jun 29, 2017 5:08 pm
Is their cover between where the trail stops and the cave begins? I'm assuming there is some type of small clearing in front of the cave right? After stopping Mel, Ruthann would have moved up behind whatever cover there was between the cave and trail that would hide him.

Rolls

Stealth check (if needed) - (1d20+4)

(16) + 4 = 20

Thought I posted that post last night.

Laucain
On the east side of the stream flowing from the cave mouth, a small area in the briar thickets has been hollowed out to form a lookout post or blind. Wooden planks flatten out the briars and provide room for guards to lie hidden and watch the area—including a pair of goblins lurking there right now! They seem to have taken an interest in the bickering siblings on the other side of the stream, as they pull back the strings on their bows.

Initiative:
Laucain: 24
Valius: 19
Goblins: 14
Ruthann: 12
Mel: 9
OOC:
Laucain, they don't see you and may take your turn. The rest of you are surprised and cannot act this round.

OOC:
Do I roll a 2d10 since I have 2 shortswords?
Jun 30, 2017 12:09 am
OOC:
Shortswords are a d6. So you'd roll 1d20+6, 1d6+4 for your first attack then 1d20+6, 1d4 for your second. You don't add your modifier to the the second attack's damage unless you take the specific feat.

*Actually, you'd have advantage because they don't see you so roll 2d20 for both attacks.
Jun 30, 2017 12:56 am
OOC:
Thanks. Thought I'd ask before doing anything.
Seeing the goblins distracted by Mel and Ruthanns bickering, I sneak up behind them with a shortsword in each hand and attack

Rolls

Attack - (2d20)

(216) = 18

Jun 30, 2017 1:49 am
OOC:
Sorry, that was my bad. With your melee weapons, at your level, you get two attacks; one as an action and one as a bonus action. When you make an attack, you roll one d20 (If you have advantage, roll two d20's and take the higher; If you have disadvantage, roll two d20's and take the lower) and then add all the modifiers that apply (Dex or Str and proficiency). If you hit you roll your weapon die (d4-d12, depending on what weapon you're using) then add your all the modifiers that apply (Dex or Str (you do not add this modifier to your bonus attack unless you have the feat that states you do)).

You're not too far off a correct roll: To make things simple, roll everything separate and let the site do the adding. You already rolled to hit for your first attack and after adding your modifiers, you got a 22 to hit (which definitely hits) so roll your damage which is 1d6+4.

Then roll to hit for your bonus action: 1d20+6, 1d20+6, 1d6.

OOC:
Thanks Hyp. This better?

Rolls

First attack damage - (1d6+4)

(1) + 4 = 5

Second attack plus damage - (1D20+6, 1d20+6, 1d6)

1D20+6 : (7) + 6 = 13

1d20+6 : (17) + 6 = 23

1d6 : (6) = 6

OOC:
Perfect.
Two precise strikes splits a goblin in twain. The remaining goblin releases it arrow at...Ruthann. An equal precise strike, the arrow sails and sinks into his neck. (9 Piercing)
OOC:
Ignore the d3 roll actually, Valius wasn't making any commotion.

Rolls

1,2,3=M,R,V - (1d3)

(3) = 3

Goblin 2 - (1d20+4, 1d20+4, 1d6+2)

1d20+4 : (20) + 4 = 24

1d20+4 : (9) + 4 = 13

1d6+2 : (5) + 2 = 7

1,2=M,R/Crit - (1d2, 1d6)

1d2 : (2) = 2

1d6 : (2) = 2
