OOC:
I think I accidentally gave the monsters two turns because I didn't make a physical post of their actual turn because the players had no visual on them. Before I delete stuff, I'll ask you guys, should we go back or just play as is?

OOC:
I'm fine with playing as is it lead to more drama. What actually happened in that turn anyway, extra movement? I'm fine with that.
Aug 5, 2017 2:47 pm
OOC:
Correct, the wolf used its Dash action to cover 80 feet, the bugbear chucked the javelin and hid waiting for the wolfs call. After all the players went I should of rolled initiative (which the player won when I remembered) so the players would of had an extra turn before being attacked and seeing the bugbear.

Speaking of initiative, what does everyone think of this system? I like it because tides can turn just like that but it can also be confusing, as what happened here.

OOC:
I like the idea of it but it may take some getting used to.

Yes, Cazzumz.

ZHyoco, Whatever system you choose is fine. I'm still new to this anyways.

OOC:
Sounds good, we'll stick with it and if it doesn't live up to expectations we can just switch it off.
Ruthann's dart slides off the bugbears armor to no effect.

Valius gets a decent grip on the wolf, sending electricity to course through it, the presence of metal from Mel's armor seems to draw most of the concurrent power away.
OOC:
Ruthann and Mel still have their turn.

OOC:
Forgot the wolf doesn't has reactions this turn. Due to shocking grasp making contact.

If I have a fresh turn then I'd like to engage the bugbear. Spear attack and bonus unarmed strike coming right up!

Rolls

Spear attack and damage - (1d20+6, 1d6+4)

1d20+6 : (14) + 6 = 20

1d6+4 : (5) + 4 = 9

Unarmed and damage - (1d20+6, 1d4+4)

1d20+6 : (17) + 6 = 23

1d4+4 : (3) + 4 = 7

Aug 5, 2017 7:13 pm
OOC:
I keep forgetting. I can use the spear with 2 hands, Versatile...... Should I reroll the spear damage or just forget it for the rolls I've already made and do it on future rolls?
Aug 5, 2017 10:07 pm
OOC:
Future rolls.
The spears stabs through the bugbear's armor, as he focuses on pulling away and removing the spear, he is met with a swift kick to the shin.

Rolls

Mel's Str. save - (1d20+3)

(13) + 3 = 16

Aug 7, 2017 11:57 pm
Cazzumz says:

Valius moves past Mel and back into melee with the wolf, his his hands cackling with energy he tries to grab at the wolf. "Mel I think Ruthrann may need more help than I."
Raising her sword, ready to cut the bloody wolf in half, she turns at Valius' words. A large, oversized, hairy goblin barrels down the rubble in her brother direction, then back to the wolf. It's fur now frazzled and smoky. She takes a large wolf-killing swing at the beast, then turns and runs to her brothers side with a huff. "That little ogre-mount just got through my armor. I'm gonna have a word with that blacksmith when we get home."

Rolls

Attack the wolf - (1d20+5, 1d8+3)

1d20+5 : (11) + 5 = 16

1d8+3 : (6) + 3 = 9

Aug 8, 2017 8:14 pm
The sword slices the wolf's ear clean off and continues down, leaving a large gash in it's stomach. Despite having some intestines falling out of the recent slash, it holds on and lashes out at Valius...the teeth show surprising amount of pressure and power as they dig into Valius' flesh and attempt to pull him down. (5 piercing)

The bugbear swings his morning star at the recent arrival who almost cleaved through his wolf...but Mel's armor proves it's worth making the bugbear's weapon look like a mere toy.

Rolls

Wolf (DC 11 str save or prone) - (1d20+4, 2d4+2)

1d20+4 : (17) + 4 = 21

2d4+2 : (12) + 2 = 5

Bugbear - (1d20+4, 2d8+2)

1d20+4 : (2) + 4 = 6

2d8+2 : (42) + 2 = 8

Player - (1d20+3)

(2) + 3 = 5

Monsters - (1d20+2)

(14) + 2 = 16

Aug 8, 2017 8:25 pm
The wolf uses it's power struggle and bites at Valius again...his teeth gaining purchase and ripping at Valius' flesh. (6 piercing)

The bugbear attempts to break through the armored tank that is Mel...a heavy thud is heard, not quite enough to get through but it was definitely close.
OOC:
Player's are up.

Rolls

Wolf - (1d20+4, 2d4+2)

1d20+4 : (18) + 4 = 22

2d4+2 : (31) + 2 = 6

Wolf advantage (if prone) - (1d20+4)

(18) + 4 = 22

Bugbear - (1d20+4, 2d8+2)

1d20+4 : (13) + 4 = 17

2d8+2 : (47) + 2 = 13

Being pinned to the floor by the wolf and having the wolf grip onto the flesh of his arm Valius reaches up grabbing hold of the wolf's head. Trying to send another burst of electricity coursing through its body. However Valius slams his head off the cavern floor rendering him unconscious.

Casting: shocking grasp

HP:0
AC: 13
Spell Slots: 0/2

OOC:
I looked at my sheet and realised I've added wrong may have added wrong again. Yeah I did never mind sorry bout that. Should have been on 11 instead of 10 not 13. Valius is out.

OOC:
No worries. I think I'll go back to the regular initiative after this fight; it was cool in theory, messes with too many mechanics though.
Feeling Valius' body go limp in its mouth, the wolf runs up to assist the bugbear.
Aug 9, 2017 12:03 am
OOC:
Ruthann takes another stab at the bugbear and then makes an unarmed strike against the wolf as it arrives. Oops... Forgot bless again.

The spear pierces near the eyes and blood begins to pour down it's face. The wolf stumbles out of the way of Ruthann's kick.
