OOC:
Good catch, Silver, I'll give you inspiration for that.
If you have inspiration, you can expend it when you make an attack roll, saving throw, or ability check. Spending your inspiration gives you advantage on that roll.
Additionally, if you have inspiration, you can reward another player for good roleplaying, clever thinking, or simply doing something exciting in the game.
When another player character does something that really contributes to the story in a fun and interesting way, you can give up your inspiration to give that character inspiration.

Seeing the rocks rolling down to his feet Valius quietly calls up to Laucain "Should we follow or is this not the best path?"
Jul 14, 2017 9:27 am
"I don't see any other way up to the bridge."
Jul 14, 2017 9:42 am
"The passage continues under the bridge though, I doubt that this is the only way up to it." You can see that Valius looks worried for some reason or another.

Secret Roll

"Unstable ground, I fear the weight of your armour would be too much for the loose rocks. I suggest we continue going under the bridge to find another way round."
Jul 14, 2017 10:46 pm
"Let's go under the bridge then."

"Fine by me. Not much we can do here with the loose ground. I'll take the lead as usual." making his way towards the passage leading under the bridge.

Feeling it best to avoid the fragile earth, you turn and begin heading in the direction of the bridge that was seen. As you are making progress, the passage is suddenly filled with a mighty roar, as a huge surge of rushing water pours down from above.

Just before it's too late, Laucain (and anyone with a passive better than 12), you are able to spot a goblin on top of the bridge just as he tosses a javelin at you (Laucain 7 piercing damage).
OOC:
Any plans before the water sweeps you away?

Rolls

Javelin (Not at advantage because you spotted him) - (1d20+4, 1d6+2)

1d20+4 : (19) + 4 = 23

1d6+2 : (5) + 2 = 7

OOC:
Since Mel is blinded right now, she will try and hurry up where she thinks the loose dirt pathway is.
Oh sh, that doesn't sound good. She rushes to the side hopeing that the pathway that talked about is right there.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+2)

(3) + 2 = 5

Dexterity check - (1d20+1)

(18) + 1 = 19

Jul 18, 2017 11:13 am
Valius also runs for the passage, guiding Mel towards it as he catches up to her. Once the water has passed he'll poke his head out (given he wasn't swept away) and shoot off a ray of frost at the goblin on the bridge.

Rolls

Dexterity to escape the water - (1d20+3)

(11) + 3 = 14

Ray of Frost - (1d20+6, 1d8)

1d20+6 : (16) + 6 = 22

1d8 : (5) = 5

Ruthann casts light on my spear and rushes back towards the passage. Provided I make it there first, I will make sure that the others know where the passage is by lighting up the entrance with spear held aloft. "This way! Quickly!"

Rolls

DEX check to escape water - (1d20+6)

(19) + 6 = 25

OOC:
Can I get a marching order prior to the water coming?
Jul 19, 2017 1:52 am
OOC:
In the side passage It was 1) Laucain, 2) Valius, 3) Ruthann, 4) Mel. In the main passage Laucain would have been in front but I'm not sure about the rest of us. I had assumed that it was the same order as before. Who was where Valius and Mel?
Jul 19, 2017 4:25 am
OOC:
In the rear.
Jul 19, 2017 6:59 am
OOC:
Same as the side passage, Valius was second.

The flood of water rushes down the tunnel, there is only enough time for Mel and Ruthann to safely get back into the passage.

Valius, only manages to reach the outer wall of the passage before the water hits him; securing the option of grabbing the wall, knowing it could be hazardous if he fails to hold on.

Laucain, leading the party and just recently hit by a javelin, has no time to react and is swept up by the roaring waters.
OOC:
Valius, if you choose to do so, you can make a Str. Save to attempt to grab and hold onto the wall.

OOC:
Well let's see if Valius truly has the luck of an adventurer.

He does not.

Rolls

Strength save - (1d20-1)

(2) - 1 = 1

Jul 20, 2017 9:51 am
The rushing waters rip at Valius' feet before he can get a good hold. The sudden jolt from the speeding water sweeps Valius' and Laucain under the current, battering them into the rocky terrain of the cave. The rush of water washes them out to the entrance of the cave, prone.
OOC:
Valius and Laucain both take 3 bludgeoning damage.

Rolls

Bludgeoning - (1d6)

(3) = 3
