Zinobia thrown look towards Mandoric, and then very quickly towards OOLIN and T'Jekyll, as if he was checking something. His eyes were full of fear and panic.

He made few steps towards Mandoric, and hissed:
"Tsssss. Do not mention. Do not!" - he made grimace in attempt to emphasize importance of what he just said.

"I do not like those guys. We should be very careful on what we do or say. I am not sure what reason i should provide....I came because of my son, and failed to enter right door, i guess...." - he added, trying to deliver his words to the party but not to the guards.

Turn Continues, Everyone's post required, up to two posts allowed per character.

T'Jekyll steps forward, deciding to tell the overall truth. "We come, in search of priests who came before. We do not know whether they came this way, but the search continues."
Nov 7, 2015 11:31 pm
Nyom will not speak at all as she tightens the grip on her spear.
Nov 8, 2015 3:12 pm
Mandoric does not wish to anger the guards by not answering their leader's question, though as he does not understand much of what is implied, he keeps things brief, "I come of my own will, in support of my companions, and am grateful for this cordial welcome. I am sure we will be very happy here."

OOLIN allows T'Jekyll and Mandoric take the lead. Meanwhile, she attempts to communicate with the Ambassador directly, without speaking. "Who are these people? Do they mean us harm? Should we fight?"
Nov 8, 2015 4:22 pm
Zinobia's eyes started to move sporadically, and he throws freightened gaze straight into OOLIN eyes.
BlackStork sent a note to Jabes.plays.RPG,spaceseeker19
Zinobia with shocked face turned towards the meeting ceremony and said: "I am being guided to find my son. All we need is the passage. Please, provide it to us.".

Waiting for more actions of players - All except Mandoric have extra one action to perform before i finalize the turn, if they want to do any actions. If during few hours time no more actions will be submitted i will finalize the turn and will advance.

The man's gaze moved from T'Jekyll to Mandoric, and then to Zinobia.
He smiled coldly, and nodded to the party, and then said something quietly to the old woman, who's eyes were tied to OOLIN.

He said:
"By Daar's design, we are obliged to grant you Settler tokens, guidance and passage to the point you are qualified for.

Concerning Settler tokens and The Rule of Resettlement ..."

He nodded to the old woman and she gave him something.

He exclaimed the verse, his voice was mesmerizing, and everyone felt like this voice, with combination of the tone and tempo, and ambience of surroundings reached deeper places of their emotional selves and their "souls":

"As the eyes are path to one's soul,
Through them one's Mark will emerge,
Tie one's fate to only purpose,
And to It one will be loyal"

Now the man had stack of dark gray stone plates in his hand, triangle stone pieces with size of a human's hand. He put the stack on his right hand, and the stones started to move. Six perfectly gray stone triangles raised from his hand to the air and started to levitate few inches above his hand, moving by circle trajectory. With each second the speed of the stone's movement increased, and few moments after they dissolved in the air, leaving six white light balls in their place.

Sorry, made it with mouse, not profesionnal illustrator.

Suddenly those six "energy-light" balls started to move towards the party and in fraction of the moment entered into each one's eyes - first OOLIN's, then Nyom's, then Ronna's, Mandoric's, T'Jekyll's and then Zinobia's. It felt like fast blinding flash. And nothing more. Everything else was usual. No change. No pain. Nothing. It simply happened, and did not left any noticeable change, feelings or knowledge.

While the party was caught and mesmerized by what he just performed he made two wide movements with his hands. He was calling for someone to come from the fog. Second after, from the thick fog behind of the meeting group emerged four men, who were levitating on big triangle boards. They were approx. ten meters above the ground - two from left and two from right. They had quite big cannon-like things in their hands, and they were aiming their cannon things directly on our shocked and confused party. They stopped at right and left sides of the party, in the air, and now were levitating and aiming their cannons, ready to use them, if need will arise.

The man exlaimed:
"As Daar's Design we must provide you the passage and the guidance you qualify for.

As, according to what we see, feel and understand, following Daar Se's Dogma by which The White lives, we can not accept you to The White.
So only option you qualify for is to be introduced to the Doorkeeper, who, following The Rule of Resettlement, may hear your pledge or your puprose call, may answer question, and will open The Door's passage to the White's Edge.

For your safety and for safety of your belongings we advise to keep yourself moving and following our guidance, or certain exceptions granted to you by The Rule of Resettlement will be nullified.

Please follow us."

Two soldiers with triangle-shield lances made Far Step movement and relocated themselves 20m behind the party, on the trail.
Four soldiers with cannons are levitating at sides in the air, aiming towards the party.
The meeting group turned and started to move deeper into the fog, while some white soldiers moved to its back and white, wing-like shields emerged from their backs, probably covering those gray-hooded children and women from any attacks which may came from our party's dirrection.
Some of white soldiers from the meeting group kept their former positions and are standing still, probably waiting for party's movement.

M1T1 Everyone's turn required. New round.
If party wont resist the only option is accept man's offer and to start to move.
T'Jekyll loses 1 Might point from his Might pool due being not practiced with wearing armour he wears (already updated).

"By the Truth!" Ronna exclaims when the strange ball enters her eyes. She raises her hands to her face and feels her eyes, almost starts scratching them, as if trying to find a way to remove what ever that ball was. When she finds nothing, she looks around, her expression panicky and haunted. She has grown to escape, avoid, and hide - getting caught in the open does not suit her well.

"What is this purpose thing they are talking about?" she whispers to Nyom. "I don't want to tie my fate to anything yet. I don't even know what I want from my life! Except that it's definitely not helping him--" She points towards Zinobia. "--to the end of my days."

She glances at the cannons and looks around for any place to hide, if needs arises. Then she offers her hand to Nyom, pointing between her head and her own with the other. "Do you mind, Nyom? This feels like a place where being able to talk without being heard by others might be useful."

Mandoric sees no sense in resisting these armed and disciplined troops, so he begins to move slowly in the direction they intend for the party to go. He thinks he has understood their basic intention - to fulfil some legal obligation and guide them to the Doorkeeper. But he is curious about the women - why should the guards be protecting them? Using his mental acuity enhanced by the brain bug, he tries to read the attitude of the women, both towards the guards and towards him and his companions.

"HEY!" Nyom yells as the lighted ball enters her eye. "I've had about enough of this weird Aneen dung for one day!" she thinks to herself as she shakes her head. "Now what in the name of the hades do I have inside of my head."

"We may just have to play their game here for a bit, but I have no intention of making such decisions at this time either." Nyom whispers back to Ronna as she takes note of the guards and apparent weaponry surrounding them.

She gives an affirmative node to Ronna - "Now would be a great time to put your new talent to use."
Nov 10, 2015 6:57 am
T'Jekyll has had so many weird invasions and insertions at this point that he shrugs at this latest thing flashing into his eyes. He takes a few moments to test his reflexes, casually assuming a number of defensive and offensive poses (which looks like stretching or calisthenics to those not from the Beyond) and then nods. He still has control over his body. *Probably whatever it was will assume control at some point, and it'll leave me waking up in some other strange place. That's fine, as long as...* He looks back at OOLIN and squeezes her hand. Strange, that she could come to mean so much...

He turns to follow the escort, and attempts to ask: "Where is the Doorkeeper, and who is he? Have you seen any Aeon Priests come through here?"
Nov 10, 2015 7:32 am
When OOLIN sees the gray, triangular stones she gazes at them intently, trying to understand them. When they transform into balls of glowing energy she accepts them without struggle, despite her fear of being controlled again.

Having long ago placed her trust in T'jekyll, OOLIN follows his lead. As the group moves along she is almost oblivious to her surroundings because her attention is focused inward, studying what it is that has been placed upon the party. She is only aware of T'Jekyll through their soul link.

Convoy ignored T'Jekyll's question and it left unanswered.
Party moved, and all the convoy moved as well.

Everyone moved keeping complete silence, walking by central trail.
Soon party noticed alot of side trails branching to right and left. They started to see people - all other people in area were wearing the white troop armor, or were women wearing gray hoods and walking bare feet. Very few looked towards the party, and majority intentinally ignored the newcomers, going with their eyes after the guard procession and the leader instead.

The landcape had noticeable feature - there were no signs of any building, depsite that alot of people have been around. Everyone kept silence, walked, watched leader and his convoy progression, and very few, mainly white-clad soldiers watched the party advance.

Everything around was covered by unnaturally thick fog. Soon party saw children running - girls, wearing same gray robes. Their hoods were un-tied, and the girls were completely naked under their hoods.
Then they saw more females washing something in the fog, on edge of visibility, at left side. Hooded silhouettes holded something and washed it using tubes. They dirrected the water coming from the tubes on object they washed, but it was unclear from where the water comes and what they are trying to wash.

Then the main trail came to kind of crossroad with three different directions coming from it - all the procession took the middle one - and continued to walk with silence, and the guards continued to follow the party on their boards, aiming the cannons towards them.

The party heard sound of screaming woman. It was.... as she were giving birth. Somewhere some woman was giving birth - and as confirmation soon everyone heard childs cry. It was from right dirrection, but the origin of the sounds was completely covered by thick fog.

Seemingly all the area served as living area as well, but, as it did not had any building, all living areas privacy was provided by fog which served as natural wall, and natural landscape, it's swamps were only furniture of those "living areas".

They advanced further as they heard another female sounds - females were moaning. It was very loud moans coming from same direction. Seemingly, those women were pleasured or had intercourse somewhere on party's right side, behind the curtain of the thick fog, and were deliberately making loud moans. Those sounds followed party for some time and then dissolved in the fog behind them.

SOUNDTRACK : MUSIC HERE

They continued to walk, and it became darker. The evening was coming, and twilight was descending on the landscape - and not so abundant natural day light was slowly dissolving as they advanced. Soon they heard the female chorus, their song was full of melancholy and was haunting. It was shamanic, ritual, mesmerizing. It came from all dirrections, but the women in front of them kept silence.

The group in front of them turned right, and as they advanced, in front of them our party members saw big triangle platform emerging from the fog. On distant, sharper angle was not big pyramid-like pavillion, with octagon-shaped conical roof.

Near it was strange figure. It was incredibly tall man - around 2.5 meters tall - and he was levitating in the air half meter from ground's surface. He worn long robe, which changed it's colors slowly - from white to dark gray - different shades of gray. He had no hair, and very calm gaze, which was dirrected on approaching party.

Levitating convoy surrounded the party, while others moved aside, allowing to the party to pass and to approach levitating robed man and the pavillion.

The leader of whites said: "Please. You can talk to Doorkeeper and to use The Door, as Daar's Testament."

As party made few steps towards the man, he opened his mouth and very low tone voice emerged:
"Please come. I am The Doorkeeper bound to this place to serve to Daar's Design and The Octagon as it is. You are at Tonus Gatehold, at entrance to The White - Domain of Loyal to Daar Se Dogmats and Daar In Serenitas, they rule this place, and you are bound to fulfill their rules as well as Daar Testament prescriptions.
As Daar Testament states, you may have or may have not questions, and may have or may have not chosen puprose.
As The White marked you as "Unfit" you have only one way opened to you - passage to the edge of their domain, to The White's Edge.
Please note that you bear exceptions to any local rules of any entity of The Octagon, and you are new-bound Settlers, and your basic Settler rights enforced by Design of Daar Na and The Octagon as Daars Design. But please note that your Ressetlement Rule exceptions are temporary and will expire after certain amount of time passes. After that your tokens, provided to you by Dogmats, as stated in the Rule, will be nullified.
According to The Rule, you are marked as one Resettlement, and you need majority of your Resettlement to pledge for Dwelling and to pledge for Joining to any certain entity, as each one sees his or her purpose, additionally to requirement to be accepted by the entity itself.
The Rule assume you will need guidance, and I can provide answer of one sentence for each one's pledge. The Rule prohibit extensive guidance as it may hurt the purpose, which Settlers choose for themselves.
Please - pledge for guidance, and if you already pledged and recieved it, or if You do not require it - please enter the Door."

He calmly pointed towards the pavillion.

New round. M1T2 - Up to two repliques/posts by character. Everyones input needed. The Doorkeeper waiting for question or for party members entering the pavillion.

Using a formal and polite tone, Mandoric addresses the Doorkeeper, "O Doorkeeper, I am a merchant, and trading is my life. Once we pass to White's Edge, will it be possible to have trade contacts with the ... er ... ladies and gentlemen here," he gestures to the Whites and the gray-hooded women, "or will we be limited to contact with those on the other side?"

OOLIN feels trapped. Her mind is awhirl with questions but she is unable to form a single one on her lips. "WHY AM I HERE? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?" She screams, but only in her head. Outwardly she stays silent, trembling.

Ronna trails the group, her easy smile lost, as she watches around in horror and discomfort.

"What is this place? What are they doing to those women? Why are we hearing only women?" Nyom is the only one who can hear Ronna's frantic questions in her mind.

When they reach the pavilion, and hear the Doorkeeper, her thoughts stumble out as a stream of questions. "What are you talking about?" Ronna asks, half shouting. "I don't want any of this! I don't have a purpose, I don't WANT a purpose. I don't want to settle anywhere! And I definitely don't want any kind of guidance you would offer. It does not seem to end well, especially not for women."
Nov 13, 2015 8:52 am
T'Jekyll considers for long moments.
*There are rules of conduct, with strict punishments for violation, but we have a temporary exception to those rules, which may expire at any time. We are allowed through this door into another region - this 'White's Edge - and we may not be able to come back, at least not the same way; we've been sent to retrieve these Aeon priests, but it's pointless to ask my one question about them: we're going through that Door no matter what happened to the priests. So I've got to find out more about the White's Edge to keep us alive... He looks at OOLIN, and takes her hand. This Resettlement sounds like shins we can spend for stuff, so there's some kind of organization and zones on the White's Edge...

T'Jekyll tries to smile reassuringly to OOLIN, and then also the others, particularly Ronna, whose panic might get them all shot. "It seems like we're in a different place with different rules, and we don't know what those are, except that we are required to go to another place. It's clear that we can't go back..." He nods at the guys on the flying gun platforms. "So. We go forward, into the Unknown...which we've done before."

TJekyll decides, and steps forward to ask the giant Doorkeeper: "Where must we go to learn answers to more questions after we've gone through the Door?"
Nov 13, 2015 10:40 am
Ok, as Jabes suggested The Doorkeeper will provide some more answers before others wil ask questions, Ones who did not used their question may try to re-ask.

The Doorkeeper turned towards Mandoric, and his very low tone voice emerged:
"The Octagon is not the world, from where You come, trader, and You should simply follow your puprose's calling, to find yourself within It, as your soul does not belong to The White.".

He ignored angry repliques of OOLIN and Ronna and answered to T'Jekyll:
"You should follow your inner calling, and lead people there, because your answers are lying beyond The White's Edge."

Then he said to others: "Any more questions? If you are done, please step into the Door, don't try to test Dogmat's hospitality." and he waved with his hand towards levitatting gunners.

Waiting Nyom question, Ronna and OOLIN can try to re-ask, Mandoric and T'Jekyll are "invited" to enter the Door.
Nov 13, 2015 1:35 pm
Nyom answer Ronna via their mental link: "I don't know what that was, but I have no plans on being part of it."

Taking a single step towards the Doorkeeper. "You said that we need a majority of our resettlement to pledge before we can pass, yes? If I so, I have no intention of being part of that majority."
