Wet Beng chuckles. "I didn't exactly mean that as a serious suggestion. I'm sure you could ride to Hazard and back more than a few times before I could manage to enchant a boat capable of flying you all there. The point was to illustrate the wide range of methods one could use to solve a relatively straightforward problem." He walks over to the animal pen and scratches one of his goats behind the ear. "Let me think on this a moment. Some more ideas occur to me."

In the middle of suppressing a sigh at the wizard's lengthy ruminations, Felor notices Zangua's nod and moves to follow him.

Perception check if still relevant?
Edit: well damn, I hope it's relevant

Zangua will take those who follow out of earshot of the wizard. "I don't know if we got the money," he says aloud, not overly so, but enough to be audible to prying ears. He turns his back to Wet Beng and the hut.

Zangua leans in to whisper, "He's with the Crown. Ain't nobody would mark themselves with the six points that weren't involved."

Mordred sighs, knowing what needs to be done. "He already knows too much. We need to take him out."

Wet Beng attends to his goats, seeming not the least interested in whatever conversation the party is having.

Domarc lets out a small sigh. "I guess we might get a chicken after all. How do we want to do this?"

Pausing for a moment to think, Domarc then says "Can we use this? Send the pointed hats on a wild goose chase, perhaps? Convince them that the object has been transported to Vorch, or some such?"

"And then we kill him?" Zangua asks, assuming there is more to the plan than misdirection.

"I can call upon the Almighty Fjorgyn to... bind the man so that we may interrogate him. Should we wish. But I am equally willing to put this witch-man to death."

I can attempt Hold Person to help capture him.

"If he got the skills to send word to his people hundreds of miles away, he probably already did that," Zangua admits. "Maybe he's even talking to 'em now? What's to say he ain't gonna do so once we start asking him questions?"
Sep 26, 2017 4:38 pm
"Yes, try and bind him, Felor. If it fails, ready your blade, Zangua."
Sep 26, 2017 5:22 pm
"I intended to try to use him to misdirect and then kill, yes, Zangua. But it sounds like capture and interrogate is the plan."
Sep 26, 2017 5:28 pm
Zangua asks, "How do you stop a wizard from wizarding?"
Sep 26, 2017 5:54 pm
"Making sure he can't move or speak is often a good approach."

Zangua nods. "All right, just let me know when it's time to act."

Wet Beng is scratching one of his goats behind the ear when he suddenly stops and snaps his fingers. "I have an idea!" he calls over. "I think I can help you. Don't bother with the accounting, we'll set up a trade!"

"Excellent, my good sir!" Mordred calls over his shoulder. He watches Felor begin his spellcasting, and just before he finishes the spell, Mordred spins quickly to face the wizard and casts Thaumaturgy to slam open the door to the hut, in an attempt to distract Wet Beng and make him more susceptible to Felor's command.

Felor, are you casting Hold Person at this specific moment?
Sep 27, 2017 9:17 am
"Fjorgyn, bind this man!"

Cast Hold Person, DC 14
