OOC:
Hmm, here's a good question, are celestial wolves natural weapons considered magic?
Oct 12, 2018 11:55 pm
OOC:
In 3.5, if they gain DR, then yes. Not sure about PF.

some random rules.

OOC:
Hmm, according to the rules, a monster must have Damage Reduction (magic), in order for their natural weapon to be considered magic. The celestial template does not seem to grant this ability, but with high enough HD, it does grants DR (magic). So it would seem the celestial wolves' bite attack is not considered magic as they lack the HD to gain a DR.
Heather's wolves attack, but their bite harmlessly pass through the incorporeal undead without any effect.

Darren is up next.

OOC:
Dang. I thought they might not be very useful, but it was worth a shot. Do they at least make the undead guy flanked?
Oct 13, 2018 1:36 am
OOC:
Flanking seems to be based solely on whether you threaten the foe or not, and not on your ability or inability to hurt it, so I'd say, yes, the wolves would give Darren a flanking bonus.

Darren, seeing his weapon not do as much as it should, calls upon the power of the light, imbuing his hammer with the ability to hurt ghosts. Satisfied with her preparation, he swings his hammer at the incorporeal enemy.

IT is not a fumble, but Darren does miss the creature which cackles in delight.

OOC:
I think it's the end of the round-ish, so at the top of the next round...
Veroth dashes into range of the plant creature grappling Ryjo, and drives his rapier into the sensitive looking bits.
OOC:
The rules are a little dicey but I think if the creature has Ryjo pinned, then they are both flat foooted. Otherwise, not sure if this is a sneak attack or not, but I'll roll the damage dice anyway and let the GM decide.

Rolls

Silver Rapier+1, sneak attack? - (1d20+12, 1d6+3, 4d6)

1d20+12 : (16) + 12 = 28

4d6 : (4243) = 13

OOC:
Yeah, sorry about that, but it was getting late last night and I was a bit tired for making a big post like that...

If they terrain outside the barn is dicey, Veroth will fly over it.
Oct 13, 2018 6:19 pm
OOC:
It's not. The only obstacle is the low wall.
Quote:
Low Wall: The low wall surrounding the 2 ruined buildings to the north varies in height between 3 to 4 feet high (outside of where the doorways used to be). The wall is about 1 foot thick so a character can stand on top of it to gain higher ground (+1 to attack rolls), it is crumbling however and will require a an Acrobatic check DC10 to maintain balance on it each turn.
Oct 13, 2018 6:25 pm
Ahh. I went up the path, but if there is a wall in front, Veroth will jump it.

Rolls

Acrobatics - (1d20+16)

(17) + 16 = 33

Oct 13, 2018 7:27 pm
OOC:
There was no wall on the path.
Veroth approaches the first plant creature on foot, momentarily forgetting about the second one. As he positions himself for a potential sneak attack, the other plant creature gets riled up and performs an attack of opportunity on Veroth. Luckily for Veroth, the attack barely misses and Veroth manages to gravely wound the plant creature holding Ryjo.

Roland is up next.

Roland pulverizes the plant creature holding Ryjo, freeing the poor monk.

Ireena will move, dropping her longsword and swiftly drawing her crossbow, loading it and preparing to shoot the other plant creature next round.
Oct 20, 2018 5:18 pm
Weiryn will move and and perform a channel energy again to help healing Ireena and Ryjo (and any other wounded allie within 30 feet of him) while ignoring the plant thanks to one of his feats (I forget the exact name...).
OOC:
Wow, another 1, it's as if irvanivich never left... :P

Rolls

Channel positive energy - (1d6)

(1) = 1

Oct 20, 2018 5:34 pm
Realizing the fleeing would provoke another attack of opportunity which would end with him only getting caught, Ryjo closes the 5 feet between him and the last plant creature and attacks it, hoping that his new friends will be able to kill it before it kills him... Ryjo manages to kick the plant once.
[ +- ] Ryjo's stats.
