As the party makes its way up the mountain, Feridir will notice many tracks. Most of them being animal tracks such as wolves, bears, and mountain lions, but he does notice some older small humanoid tracks.

"Is it jus' me or is this durn hike taking much, much longer than anyone expected?" Grapthor grumbes as he trudges along, following the scouts blindly.

Feridir stops the group a bit

We have some old tracks of people here, i can try and follow them but i will leave it to the group.

No... I say we forget it. We’ve wasted far too much time for my tastes, I’m tired of wandering around these woods. I’m ready to see these ruins and what they may hold.

You make your way up the path winding through the mountain to eventually reach a sort of small plateau on the side of it. There is a small entrance on the side of the mountain. You can see inside the complex is made of old worked stone which has been cracked with age, probably the temple Arla mentioned to you. Those of you without any sort of night vision or dark vision will see about up to the dotted line before it,s too dark for you to make up anything, the rest of you seeing everything, including both doors, both passageways, and the crumbled stairways (ignore the counters and condition markers, those are there so I can easily copy and paste them on other maps). While you are peering through the opening, you can all make a Perception + Awareness check.

Feridir is still looking at the map, not even noticing the ruins in front of him, his mind also on the tracks he saw before

Kanyil peers into the darkness, and then looks around the surrounding terrain outside, checking for anything of note. However, she’s quickly distracted by her pet rat which seems to be sqirmimg inside her backpack. "I hope he hasn’t gotten into our rations," she grumbles to herself, and lightly jostles the pack on her back.

Feridir, still concentrated on the tracks, could have sworn he spotted some troll tracks. This is disconcerting since Arla didn't said anything about trolls... Kanyil, while checking her rat in her backpack, could have sworn she saw some movement in the darkness from the edge of her vision, something thin like some old dry bones moving around...
OOC:
I'll wait to see what the rest of the party rolls to tell what the people who haven't fumbled see...

OOC:
I doubt Ulfgar will be able to do much better than Grapthor so I'll go ahead and mention what the party sees instead of waiting further.
As the party peers into the darkness of the entrance and Feridir and Kanyil convinces themselves they saw things which are not, Grapthor notices, out of the corner of his eyes, a small band of goblin hiding behind a large boulder and observing the party (off map, about the area where the arrow indicating north is).
Mar 12, 2018 6:20 pm
"Don't look now, but we've gots company." Grapthor whispers. "Over there - no, don't look - goblins, behind that boulder. What d'ye wanna do? We bustin' their heads or what?"
Mar 12, 2018 8:45 pm
Kanyil readies a stone in her sling pouch.

I swear, this Scottish translator... XD

"Dae they swatch loch they're in th' wey o lat at?"

OOC:
I will never go to scotland then because i have no clue what you just said again :P
Feridir knocks an arrow on his bow, and walks into the cave entrance so that he is out of the vision of the goblins and then turns around back against the wall, for cover
Mar 13, 2018 5:23 pm
"Th' elf is reit, gonnae in is th' best way tae gie cowre withit alertin' th' goblins 'at we're oan tae them."

Barekeln will enter and then ask Feridir in a low voice.

"Can ye see them frae haur?"
Mar 13, 2018 5:39 pm
Fantastic, another means to be real adventurers. Ulfgar mumbles to himself as he readies his warhammer.
Mar 13, 2018 9:45 pm
With a hushed voice he responds
Yeah i have a clear shot at one of them now that Ulfgar pointed him out

Feridir motions to the rest of the party to come inside the corridor
and if the enter he explains

Being out in the open gives them an advantage, if we can lure them closer towards us we have natural chokepoint in the cave entrance
Mar 20, 2018 1:40 am
So far, Feridir and Barekeln are in the corridor. Anyone else get inside?
