J-FUBAR. Damn. This is some Final Destination type shit going on here, which leads me to believe Thorn's demise will be accidental strangulation in a tub.
Even with the the rewrite, Abros whittled Thorn down to a single hit point, though. So... fuck.

His enemy attacks him with a speed he is not prepared for. The sword cuts him and he begins to bleed. Death seems near, although it seems that the man is trying to put him down instead of kill him outright. The man speaks to him in Heshbaan as they spar, and he catches the words for
kill and
brother. He thinks he hears Elam's name, but the rest is lost.
Iasu is nearby. Thorn ducks just in time to avoid the man's fist and
rolls begins to roll backward, out of reach, toward his ally. As he does so, Urdav's blade swings up to catch the man's arm.
Adrenaline pumps through Thorn. He has always been sure he had more time. Today is no different.
