Ahri
R5 (effects)

When Ahri tries to make the corner and enter the rear hall, a huge bubble of the sludge globs out right in his path. He tries to jump it, but it swells even higher. The sliding acidic sludge slaps into his legs and hips.

He manages to land back on the ground, but the sticky substances completely coats him up to the waist. He yells out in agony as the acid begins to dissolve past the skin and into the muscle.

The lamp drops into the acid pool, the light of the flame is quickly snuffed out as the metal canister sinks into the gel. Darkness falls over Ahri as the gel slides all around him and past him, flowing further into the edge of the hallway.

Ahri slogs forward, desperately trying to wade out of the deadly substance that is maiming him worse every second now.

Ahri enters the Zero Hit Point State. 3 Levels of Exhaustion. Includes halving of Movement rate and Disadvantage on Saving Throws.

Required Action, Ahri: DEX Save DC 12 or be Engulfed

Fail Save

Ahri stumbles down. His hands and arms splash into the sludge as he falls forward.

Panicking, he tries to spring back up, but dissolving muscles tear in his right leg. Ahri splatters face down in the rising acid.

Another wave of sticky acid sludge rolls right over his back. Ahri is instantly submerged, silenced before he can let out a final scream.
OOC:
I know that's brutal. Sorry, Tsavo.
Oh well. We all know that we ride or die around here.

Rolls

DEX Save DC 12 - (1d20+7)

(6) + 7 = 13

DEX Save DC 12 Disadvantage - (1d20+7)

(3) + 7 = 10

Damn right on ride or die. At least Ahri had a wonderfully gruesome death scene. Not sure which checkout is worse- Ivor's or Ahri's checkout.

Update Round 5

PC Actions Remaining: Iasu (20 ft Movement used), Bryn, Trece
Other Actions Remaing: Abros
OOC:
HyperactiveCompany, OxenBox, post it up.
I'm not sure on Jabes, suspecting I will manage Iasu last, but hoping Jabes can at any minute make a triumphant comeback like LL. Hell yeah.
I'd like to aim for a shift to R6 by tomorrow, Sunday, latest if at all possible.
[ +- ] Battle Map R5 IN PROGRESS LATE ROUND
OOC:
Yo. That's a lot of RED on that map. And not much LIGHT SOURCE.
Congrats if you've made it this far and your marker hasn't changed color. Ha!
Yes, that includes the resilient SM8 actually (though I suspect we will bid him a farewell purple to red switch during R6. Ha!).

Disregard all below - overtaken by developments. Roll does not apply. Hyp posted R5 entry.
Only leaving this here for transparency.
Sorry for the confusion.
Trece
R4 (Impacts)
OOC:
Hyp, I gotta move on with this somehow, bro.
Referring to last entry here which was the R4 Action by Abros, which was AFTER Trece's R4 entry.

So, what I'm going to do is finish out effects/impacts for R4 first...

Then enter Abros Actions for R5.

After that, I will leave it there with hopes that you can bounce back to take over. And at that time you can...
1) Post Trece R5 Actions
2) Continue to Trece R6 Actions when ready.
Determine Results/Impacts of R4 Actions: Trece must oppose Grapple at result 19.
Success on Save. Trece evades Grapple on R4

Result: Follow on Attacks from Abros R4 are NOT made at Advantage.

Abros
R5

(occurs AFTER Trece's R5 entry just below.)

Trece's unexpected escape and surge of action puts the devil on his heels. He barely blocks Trece's relentless series of spoon stabs until the last one passes his defenses entirely and bites into his left shoulder.

Trece wins R4 Grapple contest. Escapes Condition threat.
R5 Attacks A1, BA, A3, A4 Hit. A2 Miss.
Use of White Cast Iron spoon.

"Aagh!", the devil yells, a burst of pain. There is a hiss of singed skin. A smell of burnt flesh . The devil steals a quick glance at the injury and then immediately back at Trece and his spoon. He looks confused and shocked.

The young fighter seems to consider his options internally, but recommits, perhaps with some trepidation mixed with his stubborn determination.

Bonus Action: Second Wind

Yet again the rough-houser grabs at Trece and tries to slam him to the stone floor.

Action Surge

After an aggressive takedown attempt, the devil tries to punch and knee Trece, hoping to take advantage of a superior hold.

In a more desperate tone than his norm, he still converses with his strange familiarity, "You have surely won many a victory. I must fight on so that I am not your next, Mysterious One."
[ +- ] Grappler Feat

OOC:
Assuming that's a successful Grapple. Will Retcon if that somehow turns out to be inaccurate.

Iasu
R5

Iasu sees that the one who must be Balis the Beast. The wild man's instincts are heightened it seems, because it is clear that he spots Iasu even through the darkness. Iasu aims the plank bow and is about to fire, but then hears Elam bark out an insult to lure Balis on. At the last moment Iasu holds fire and moves away. Elam wants to draw Balis further on, and Iasu will prepare there to support Elam's plan.

At the far end of the room, Iasu sees the Seetan fighting against a muscular cambion. Iasu hears Elam speak to the wrestling hulk moments later, calling him "brother." The wrestler comments back with familiarity. It must be. It is Abros surely. Is Abros friend or enemy? Is the Seetan for that matter?

In the darkness, targets are difficult to see even at close range. Uburatu and Balis are moving in, but not close enough.

Iasu had to bide his time. Wait for Elam's lead. Wait for the right shot.

The bolt was poisoned with Death Adder venom.

Iasu would make sure he spent it well.

Movement.

(2) + 8 = 10

OOC:
Seeing the results...

Also: Unless it's something in Abros' repertoire, grapple doesn't give you advantage. Need the prone and bone combo.
Trece stumbles out of the way of Abros grab, catching the horns in the process. He steps backwards to avoid the thrown elbow. He takes a moment, observing the devil conversate with him. In response, he spits a globule of blood off to his side and stares at the devil. He steels himself, posing his spoon back as he dives in, quick motions weave through his footwork and spoon control.
OOC:
Burning my action surge.

Trece almost puts the talkative devil down, but then has to defend against the young brawler's stubborn resurgence.
OOC:
Hyp, I'm glad you posted out. Thanks.
Although the entries are backwards above, I'm taking it as Trece's Actions come FIRST in Round 5. You had Initiative. And then let effects/responses roll from there with Abros entry coming afterwards, still in R5.

Required Action, Trece: Compare to resist Slam attempt. Result 25.

[ +- ] Round 6 Initial Battle Map
Notes on Flanking Criteria:
Anyone attacking SM8 has Advantage.
Anyone but Thorn attacking MX has Advantage (MX is focusing on Thorn exclusively, oblivious to all else)
Dec 24, 2018 6:11 pm
Thorn sees the spider creature is desperately engaging Bryn and this strange red-faced character with horns, and so focuses his attention on the dead-but-not-dead myrmidon before him. He was sure Urdav's blade had encountered the creature's heart before, but now it was up and fighting again.

Perhaps the gel behind it...

Thorn lowers his shoulder and barrels into the creature's chest, attempting to feed it to the churning sludge.

The former wave of enemies now broken, Kray's attention was briefly drawn to the massive, pulsing ruddy brown gel.

We need more distance.

Let's see if Bryn and Thron can clear things up before Kray moved to support Trece and Elam. I'll wait on Ox and X.

Elam
R6 (partial)

Elam knew he had to time it perfectly to sell it. He steps right and watches as Uburatu cuts off the angle. Shifting quickly left, he launches to full speed, hand-railing the wall.

The lane is closing; Balis covers the ground ready to swing. Elam slashes at the beast-man.

OOC:
Assuming the critter is dead, Thorn will join the party in moving away from the encroaching blob, full movement the opposite side of the room. If somehow it's still standing, he will circle around to its 11:00 (to the left of Namtur on the map).

Thorn
R6

The wild haggard monster spins to slash and swipe at Bryn with it's many arms.

When Thorn shoulder shoves the myrmidon thrall into the gel, he is already spinning the blade in his hands to get it to the right angle for the forward stab at the last hybrid.

Attack 2 Hit

The blade pierces in like a spear through a pumpkin, breaking in at an angle on the left back, splitting through lungs and heart, and then erupting out the front right of the cage.

The creature’s death throes make for a tough sword to hold for Thorn. He keeps his grip, but has to step over to manage the beast's rough collapse. He twists the blade to jerk it free from the final fallen foe.

Thorn looks to Kray, who holds the entire light of the room, and begins the march forward into the darkness.

Akkeen
R6 (partial)

The darkness makes it difficult to see, but Akkeen keeps his eyes locked on Uburatu and Balis as they move forward.

As he advances behind, he reaches into his bag. He can feel the rough, cold iron - the curves of the metal loops and the sharp edges of the chiseled runes. Gripping the balled coil, he brings forth the snakes.

Balis and Uburatu would die. Here and now. There is no turning back now.

Adar-Malic could still be saved. There was still time.
