Initiative 7. (Dex 14)
OOC:

Attacking and moving. Not sure what attack initiative dice to roll, so going with the heavy, since the trample damage is equivalent to a heavy weapon.

Also, holy fuck, 3 1's jabe! The odds on that are like a million to 1!! (Or 1 in 64, but that doesn't sound as amazing.)

Forgot Rage, J. Gotta attack. Mind if I adjust that Dodge roll to Attack? It's the same dice d6.

OOC:
Glancing over this, wanted to send reminder that although the Ready Action is not available, you can Delay. Simple translation on that is that you can just elect to go anytime later in the round.

Mentioning it in this circumstance because of the situation really. Mystery, right now, is down the dark hallway. Unknown distance, but Thorn/Bryn would know that the hall goes back a good 25 - 30'. So I doubt anyone wants to run down into the darkness, not knowing what's going on, fight at disadvantage, etc. Could be wrong.

But that means that you sort of give the sequence over first to Mystery to see if he/she/it/they Move forward. Or is there something else going on? It's just not going to be perfectly clear until you see what happens, so your judgment calls individually what to do with your round. Felt like I should just give it as a FYI.
OOC:
Sorry I'm slow. But Jabes, I gotta hold up just a bit longer to get something else on board before Iasu lights it up. Stand by.

Down the corridor, hidden in the darkness, something lurks.

It's huffing and low rumble growl roll through the stone chambers like a wave of dread.

..., Namtur says. The devil man is still struggling to stand, but his voice is steady and loud.

He talks quickly as the monster in the shadow, still unseen, approaches.

Ting, ting, ting.

The sound of a small metal object hitting the ground breaks through the pain induced deafening ringing of Trece's mind. His legs give out as he falls to his knees, his body ripples from the impact, sending off droplets of crimson red. His body loosens, weak from the recent events, his glutes fall to meet the heels of his feet. Freedom. his voice echoes as his eyes find rest, a smile crosses his lips as he collapses onto the floor into a heap of battered flesh.

Now is not your time.

A different voice cuts through the darkness, as he lays in a pooling puddle of his own blood.

Not yet.

The voice continues as Trece blindly pats around and clutches his fallen spoon.

Live to spite death, he will not find ease in taking you. Live to spite those who wish to see your early death, they will not find it easily. Fight until you can no longer and you will find me in Freedom. Now is not your time.

The fallen Seetan straightens himself out, his eyes slowly blink open; his fist squeeze closed, acting as his crutch, as he pushes back to his feet. He stands wearily; his open hand holds his gaping chest wound and his other hand, hanging at his side, grips the blood drenched white iron spoon.

His face stoic once more, staggered, Trece stares at the armored fiend
[ +- ] Otessite
He stalks forward, his eyes focus on only one, his path set with each step paved in blood. Despite his staggered pace, his speed with a spoon is unmatched; two rapid strikes followed by a swift punch.

Rolls

A1: Spoon - (1d20+9, 1d6+8)

1d20+9 : (8) + 9 = 17

BA: Punch - (1d20+7, 1d6+4)

1d20+7 : (14) + 7 = 21

1d6+4 : (1) + 4 = 5

Uburatu, increasingly covered in the blood flowing from the neck wound, shouts out in rage at the darkness, towards where he last saw Iasu loose the arrow.
OOC:

previously note="jabes.plays.rpg, hypco"] "You fool, ranger! You will die here! You cannot stop what is coming! You cannot escape! Elam is your downfall, but you deserve the death coming to you!" [/note]

With his shield braced outward to intercept incoming arrows, Uburatu is caught completely unaware when the Seetan assaults.

Attack 1 Hit, Attack 2 Miss. Unarmed Strike Hit.

The weapon drives straight into the ear, cracking through the fragile bone within.

The spoon shaft sinks all the way in, sliding into the brain. So deep that it is nearly stuck.

Uburatu's body convulges. Trece is finally able to tear the weapon free. It is covered with blood and watery fluid.

Uburatu whirls around. Dumbfounded.

The hulking half-devil's body is failing. Motor skills shutting down. His great polished shield drops to the floor with a rattle and clang. He still clutches his sword tightly, but his arm is uncontrolled, wobbling the weapon low and extended.

His eyes are wide with shock. Confusion. Fear. He can see it happening, but he cannot believe who it is that is killing him.

Trece has already set and pulled back with all of his shift of weight in motion. The punch hits Uburatu square in the face, breaking the nose and front facial structure. The bones crack and collapse. Blood explodes all around Trece's hand.

Uburatu's head flings backwards violently and his body follows. He is launched back and sails to the ground, landing in a loud crash as his armor hits against the stone floor with a scraping skid. The back of his head hits the stone bricks in a loud knock.

Unable to draw even one more breath, Uburatu - warlord - torturer - enslaver - lies dead on floor, slain at the hands of Trece the Indomitable.

IASU, GO!
Jan 31, 2019 12:11 pm
As Uburatu falls, Iasu adjusts his aim, and shoots at the Hel hound.

Uburatu's words still echo in his head. He had even called Iasu by his true name. "Elam and the Twins are deceiving you. First, Namtur. Now you, Simush. Using you as pawns...I am not your enemy...we can escape...Elam is your downfall...you will die here..."

Iasu shakes these distracting thoughts away, and mutters to Thorn as he repositions in the darkness. He sees the big man has taken up Adar-Malic's blade. "Can you fight? The Howler comes. We must stand against it, or pit it against the killing gel."

Iasu v. Hound Y
EG R3

Iasu glides to the left until he gets the right angle. The arrow sails by, some might say dangerously close to Kray Mercon, but nonetheless hits the mark perfectly, plunging into the vicious dog's shoulder.

The beast makes a snapping growl and drops to the ground. It is a hit in the vitals, perhaps a kill shot, but for now the dog is still attempting to recover and stand.

Hit
OOC:
Jabes, I made the call to swing Iasu some Movement to the west. Felt like he had to relocate slightly to even see the hound in the dark behind Kray, much less make that shot without shooting Kray in the back.
Jan 31, 2019 7:58 pm
Bryn wheels around to get close to the last hound. The image of Thorn nearly falling to the dogs is still very vivid in his mind as he stabs and hacks at the creature.

Bryn vs. Hound Y
EG R3

Bryn steps over the other fallen dog and stabs the other that Iasu just shot. For good measure he brings the kukri down heavy, hitting the hound on the shoulder and driving it into the floor.

Hit and Hit.
