OOC:
Because this is a place that's not all that familiar for any of you, I'm going to set Basic Knowledge at a Threshold of 2. So, that means Underworld succeeded. I would have liked to give a dice penalty, but the dice were already thrown. That's no big deal at this point. So, it looks like we've got a glitch, as well!
Also, I seem to remember than Wak has been to Lagos before. If I'm wrong in that, let me know.
Wak thinks back to his previous trips to Lagos and remembers that crime is rampant in Lagos. There's no official law, in the form of the Corps, here. The city is chopped up by two rival tribes and some minor Corp presence and the boundary lines fluctuate from week to week.
Because there is no law, the law comes down to who has the bigger crew and bigger gun. Any kind of business can be transacted anywhere but people tend to group together in markets to make it easier. The markets spring up wherever there is dry land. That's hard to find because most of the city sits in and around swampy land.
The biggest market that Wak remembers is about a half-hour walk away from the airport. It'd be a good place to gear up and ask around about Samriel or fencing anything like a map.
Wak also recalls that Yoruba is the trade language used in Lagos.
OOC:
To be clear, the language bit is your glitch. Yoruba is NOT the trade language, but Wak totally thinks it is. Were we at a table,
I probably wouldn't say, but because of the slower nature of PbP, I'm telling everyone so we can make sure and see what happens when Yoruba is used where it shouldn't be.
