Vann, Mouse & Jericho spot a small boy moving with a crowd of children. The crowd moves through your group, laughing and running. The little boy reaches up and puts something on Jane's bag as he moves past. The boy breaks out into a run with the other children as soon as it's placed. Jane doesn't seem to notice

Alright, I believe I read that spells don't necessarily give any physical indication of being cast (unless it's like a fireball). So, I don't have to say or do anything, just have line-of-sight. Since I saw the boy, I'm assuming this will work without drawing attention. If I'm wrong, let me know and I'll do something else.OOC:
Casting "Influence" at Force 2 (correct me if I'm wrong, but Force doesn't seem to affect this spell (beyond counterspell susceptibility?) and this gets me the lowest drain to resist. Instead, this spell hinges more on an opposed test of spellcasting + magic vs. willpower). Suggestion is "Come back here and tell me who told you to do that."Last edited February 3, 2018 7:25 pm

Looks good! Yeah, no one is going to spot such a subtle spell with all this crowd. Make your roll. The kid's Willpower is 3 and I'm giving him a +2 bonus for partial cover as he's moving with the group of kids.Edit: Only 2 hits.

Vann's head jerks around as his brain registers what happened, "H... hey!!", turning for just a moment about to run after the street child, Vann reconsiders and instead grabs Janes bag and pulls it up close to his face scrutinizing the placed object, readying himself to yank it off, "That street rat just stuck something on ya..."

Jane whirls around, pulling away from Vann's sudden grab. She seems about to say something to him, but then notices that he's looking intently at something on her bag.
"That looks like a tracker!" she exclaims.
Then, seeming to register Jericho's question, she whips out her comlink and inserts one her linguasofts. Shaking her head, she pulls it out and slips in another. With a sigh of frustration, she pockets her comlink again, "No, I don't know what he said. I don't have a linguasoft to translate that."

Vann keeps ahold of the bag, looking back and forth from the device to Jane when she says it's a tracker.

Would Knowledge:Gangs reveal anything about this interaction? ie: common practice for some gangs to stick trackers on newcomers to shake them up later?

Yes! That'll be a Data Search + Logic roll. The Threshold will be 4. The language has specifically never been made into a linguasoft and Google's current translate option is absolute crap. I doubt it'll be much better in this current time.

Wak picked 10,000 naira for personal use. Always handy to have local currency. "when are we going to get a chance to pick up some gear. I need some some Addons for my commlink and to pick up a rifle.
Wak will try to set up his eyes and ears to the commlink.
As Wak sees the kid he instantly looks back they way the kid came from to see if he could spot anyone watching us.

Yes, you can team up. Every hit you score on the roll will be +1 die for the active person making the test. If you don't have the skill, you'll roll just the Attribute at -1.Feb 8, 2018 9:49 pm

Wak follows the boy with his eyes, losing him several times in the crowd, but always managing to find him. The kid ducks under a tall, rusty truck, darts through a vendor's stall and doubles back behind two men carrying a crate and then darts into an alley. A tall ork, smiles at the boy from the shadows and pats the kid on the head. His other hand hands him something small and white, which the kid immediately pops into his mouth.
The ork has an AK-97 slung across his chest and his dress and equipment looks very similar to your greeting party in the airport.
