You easily raise the portcullis.
Feb 1, 2018 3:54 pm
As the portcullis is raised the sound grabs Greymonds attention but he focuses back on the orb. What an odd thing. As he jots notes about it's dimensions and texture.
OOC:
Any chance I know what exactly it is?
I suppose we best be on our way towards that chantin'. doubt they'll hold up whatever ceremony it is for us. Perhaps we should've brought a gift?

OOC:
To identify the orb, give me a nature check.
Feb 1, 2018 4:08 pm
Wil takes his crowbar and wedges it into the portcullis crank (probably a gap in the mechanism) to ensure that it stays open.

You get the feeling that this is an eye but do not know what it belonged to.

Wil walks onto the dais, looking for anything specific on the altar there.

(8) + 5 = 13

Baroth Walks into the room as the Porrcullis is opened. The light from his wrist lighting the way. He flows Wil up to the alter and examines it looking for any signs of a religion, or religious based items. Very Interesting.
OOC:
Sorry for not posting yesterday. It was a busy day.

Rolls

Religion check on Alter - (1d20+1)

(12) + 1 = 13

Greymomd recoil a bit. Onward. Yes?

OOC:
I'll wait for the others to catch up before I continue with Wil.
Feb 1, 2018 11:14 pm
Ryn follows behind Greymond looking at the other items on the pedestals. These items just unnerve me a little. Who has these items just laying out?
OOC:
Sorry for not posting as much lately, I have a wife and two small kids with the stomach bug

Baroth and Wil wade through the 3ft water and climb onto the top of the dais. The chanting rises once more as thirteen dark apparitions appear on the ledges overlooking the room. Each one resembles a black-robed figure holding a torch, but the torch’s fire is black and seems to draw light into it. Where you’d expect to see faces are voids. "One must die!" they chant, over and over. "One must die! One must die!"
Feb 1, 2018 11:32 pm
Baroth looks up and around the room. Looking at all the figures that had appeared. I think we may have found the source of all the chanting. Baroth readies his weapon just in case one of these things wants to come down and take a swing at him. He looks over at the alter.
Feb 1, 2018 11:32 pm
Greymond caught up in the objects begins to hurry after Baroth as Ryn finishes speaking. They are weird. Let's be going
Feb 1, 2018 11:39 pm
The altar is caked in dry blood and has another bone knife sitting atop it. The robed figures do not advance and continue chanting their grim mantra "One must die! One must die!"
Feb 1, 2018 11:41 pm
OOC:
Is there anything specail about the alter. Any markings on it or around the base?
Feb 1, 2018 11:47 pm
I would really prefer we find something alive that I don't care about to sacrifice, if we can think of something. I would be sad if we had to kill Phillip.
Feb 1, 2018 11:48 pm
Endermun says:
Rusty chains with shackles dangle from the ceiling directly above a stone altar mounted on the dais. The altar is carved with hideous depictions of grasping ghouls and is stained with dry blood
Feb 1, 2018 11:49 pm
I would prefer not to kill anything to these guys. Who knows what will happen if we do.
Feb 1, 2018 11:51 pm
Baroth thinks that the illustrations on the altar, while disturbing, don't carry any religious significance, at least to his knowledge.
