OOC:
Ah, so that's more useful when I know wizard powers, which I don't see listed on my sheet. But it sounds like Brimstone Cascade would be useful in this situation. Am I able to target something threatening-looking and blast it from this window?

Fenya charges the lone wounded goblin. "What do you plan to do to the wellspring?!" he snarls in the goblin tongue. "Tell me or I'll feed you to my pig!"
OOC:
Would it be possible to wound but not kill? Id like to try to get an answer from this guy first. Ah never mind, it's a miss.

Rolls

Fenya's spear (Accurate 10), possible damage - (1d20, 1d10)

1d20 : (14) = 14

1d10 : (8) = 8

OOC:
Sorry, WalkerOfSorrow. Brimstone Cascade is a Wizard power. You can blast the shady looking goblin leader outside the wall, or any of the other goblins - you have a good view.
Apr 10, 2018 12:23 am
OOC:
I had a feeling that might be the case. Does someone have the goblin leader covered? If so, I'll shoot the farthest goblin I feel I can manage. If not, I'll take out the leader.
Apr 10, 2018 1:14 am
OOC:
No one is covering any of the goblins, save the one that is inside the walls. There is no specified range limit for the power, so it's only limited by sight. To attack, roll a d20, and you want to roll lower than your Resolute stat less 5 (they are very Quick).

Bantalom eases his way into position, trying very carefully to avoid being heard, and when there's nothing in the way of his spell, he clasps his hands together, focuses, and inhales deeply. Framing the shot in his mind, he draws all his focus and energy into a single point: the goblin leader, center of mass. He releases the Brimstone Cascade...

(Edit: I read the instruction wrong. "Resolute less 5" not "Resolute less than 5". My resolute is 15, so I believe this succeeds.)

Rolls

Brimstone Cascade (needs to be less than 5) - (1d20)

(6) = 6

Apr 10, 2018 3:25 am
Success! Roll d12 for damage, and a d4 for temporary corruption.

(Temporary Corruption becomes Permanent Corruption when it reaches half your Resolute stat, rounded up. Temporary Corruption disappears at the end of a scene.)

OOC:
Cool! Let me just make those rolls real quick.

Rolls

Damage - (1d12)

(10) = 10

Temporary Corruption - (1d4)

(3) = 3

The boiling fire engulfs the goblin leader and Bantalom suddenly realizes from the scream that it isn't a goblin at all, but an American (human) woman! She falls to the ground screaming and rolling about until the flames cease. She is wearing chainmail under her cloak and carries a black two-handed sword slung on her back.

Bantalom feels the foul yet intoxicating magic excuse from his pores, sticking to him, tainting him.

At the eruption of sorcery, and with their siege ladder stolen, the goblins flee for the woods, dragging their odd leader with them.

The wounded goblin in the walls attacks Eferneya with its rusty weapon... And she takes 5 damage (6 damage less armor). She falls prone from the force of the blow.
Your turns.

Rolls

Eferneya, defense - (1d20)

(15) = 15

Armor - (1d4)

(1) = 1

Apr 11, 2018 1:37 am
OOC:
On Bantalom's turn, he will quickly pull up his hood, avoid making eye contact or physical contact with anybody, and try to find somewhere outside that he can be alone.
Apr 11, 2018 2:21 am
The children upstairs with Bantalom shirk back from his passing, a look of horror in their eyes. Magic is often mistrusted, especially near the dark forest of Davokar where abominations of corruption haunt the shadows.
Apr 11, 2018 3:35 am
OOC:
That's the idea. No need to subject these kids to any more tonight. The world is old and full of terrors.

With wide eyes Darthon gazed towards the upper floor of the inn, after seeing flame shoot from it to the outside of the wall. "What was that." he mumbled, before realizing that one of the enemies was still on the wall and attacking his allies. Another arrow swiftly pulled from his quiver made its way towards the goblin.
Grunting a "Damn it.", Darthon reached for the next arrow, when he realized he only hit the armor.

Rolls

Accurate 15 (bow +1/ goblin -1), Damage 1d10 - (1d20, 1d10)

1d20 : (10) = 10

1d10 : (1) = 1

Accurate 15 against strong to cripple and deny movement - (1d20)

(14) = 14

Apr 17, 2018 4:23 am
Darthon's arrow fails to penetrate the goblins armor.

Posting for Eferneya: She attacks the goblin with her crow's beak, backing toward the ladder down.

Posting for Fenya: Fenya stabs with the spear.

Both miss or otherwise fail to do damage.

The goblin retaliates against Eferneya, and strikes her well. (4 damage = 6 base less 2 armor)
Bantalom and Darthon are up.

Rolls

Eferneya, Accurate (14) -1 - (1d20, 1d8+1)

1d20 : (18) = 18

1d8+1 : (8) + 1 = 9

Fenya, Accurate (10) -1 - (1d20, 1d10)

1d20 : (2) = 2

1d10 : (1) = 1

Eferneya, defense (10?) - (1d20)

(9) = 9

Eferneya armor - (1d4)

(2) = 2

"Damn persistent that one." the archer cursed before aiming the next arrow at the lucky goblin. The strike against his allies seemed lucky as well and the urgency made Darthon pull the sinew of his bow a bit further back after the previous failure.
His shoulder pained a little after so much effort, but Darthon was sure he couldn't have pulled back stronger. Once the arrow was in the air he moved in a good pace closer to the inn bevor aiming at the gatehouse again.

Rolls

Accurate 15 (bow +1/ goblin -1), Damage 1d10 - (1d20, 1d10)

1d20 : (13) = 13

1d10 : (10) = 10

Darthon's arrow strikes the goblin square and he falls to the ground, shuddering, then still.

For the moment, the goblin horde outside the gate appear to be dispersing. You can hear them mutter among themselves, growing fainter as they recede from the inn.

After a short time, the innkeeper comes out with the bard beside her. "What happened? Why did they leave?"

OOC:
How's Bantalom's progress on finding a nice dark place with no people?
Apr 18, 2018 3:19 am
There is no one around Bantalom, as the children ran off. He can find a closet or something if he wants to hide in case they come back.
Apr 18, 2018 3:32 am
OOC:
Recall that he didn't stay put either. Immediately after launching the Cascade, he went looking for somewhere else to be. It's less about hiding, and more that he doesn't want to be in plain view. If there's like, a garden or dark alley, maybe a cellar, he'll try there.
