Balak stands closer to the zombies to Alyx, but not impeding his view of them. He brings back his javelin and throws it at the closest zombie.

Javelin Throw - (1d20+6)

Alyx firebolts a zombie ((let's call it Z2, the other being Z3) for 10 damage.

Lets say Balak targetted...Z2. His damage drops it to 0, andmit drops.

The second one attacks...Sorgrimm, but fails to penetrate his armor.

As he was about to retreat to protect himself the attack from Z3 annoyed the stubborn dwarf and he instead unleashes his war hammer with a one handed overhead attack.

I yawn. This bores me. I raise a hand and launch a fireball at the zombie.

The warhammer drives the zombie down, and it doesnt get back up. A firebolt from Alyx insures the matter.

With the pressure off, you can see that the zombies were perched on a ledge above the tunnel (out of sight of/total cover from Xella's Divine Sense), where their ambush took place.

The cave chamber has two narrow exits, one leading north and the other south. A flat boulder sits in the center of the cave. It’s about six feet across, eight feet long, and three feet high. Dark stains color its top.

Ugh, Dazzle says with disgust he pulls his dagger out of the zombie's skull.

Oops, definitely firebolt.
I approach the closest zombie and stare at it. Could someone with a bladed weapon be so kind as to remove this head from the body. It might insure these stay down, and I'd very much like to keep the head as well.

Would anyone be opposed to taking a short rest? I'd like to restore some of my health but I would prefer to hold onto my spells for a bit longer.

I'm at 2 hit points...could definitely use some form of healing...figured burning a hit die would be the best bet.

A bit of a break would be find with me. Walter strings his bow over his back and goes to collect any salvageable arrows. He draws out his dagger and looks down at one of the re-dead zombies. A bit of research, Alyx? he asks.

Qrolloq, any sort of roll to cleanly behead one of the zombies? I am not doing it yet, Walter wants an answer from Alyx before he tries. Also, are we keeping count of used arrows? If so, regain half of what was used?

Balak puts his hammer away on his back, grabs his javelin from the zombie he hit earlier, puts it in its little grooved holster on his shield, then walks up to the boulder in the middle of the room, running his right hand along its surface.
