The Game

As I'm sure you can see I'm a bit young, but I promise you that I am quite skilled and intelligent for someone my age. My families has many ties throughout this land that may come in handy as well. I've received some of the best training possible with this sword and shield you see here, though, as I'm certain you can tell by the newness of my equipment, I'm a bit of an inexperienced adventurer.
It doesn't hurt that there is a higher power watching over me either. I'm not sure who or what it is, but it's guided me and kept me safe so far.

Starting to ponder the prowess of his Druid companion, Perhaps we should make camp for the night and hope for better conditions in the morning. I'm sure we will make better time with some rest. Looking back to Elon, Well, I don't mind if you continue to tag along, I agree with that whole safety in numbers bit. Awenasa here may be too distracted to answer. As long as you can defend yourself and your heart is true, you may come. I say, distracted. I turn myself around and around, looking at where we are. I huff to myself. Let's make camp and I'll get my bearings in the morning.

I sit down and close my eyes. I begin a ritual. I cast Speak to animals and ask a rabbit to come closer.

Deruvid casts entangle on Elijah.

Skyro draws his greatsword, and points it at Elijiah as soon as Deruvid begins his casting.

One moment Cato is hailing Skyro, Vortrin and two dwarves, and the next Skyro has drawn steel and one of the dwarves has conjured entangling vines. Asterion doesn't know what's going on but he instinctively draws his longsword and black frost rimes his entire body as he throws up his arcane defenses.

Asterion casts Armor of Agathys.

Cato approaches the other group as security overwatch behind Asterion, keeping his distance, crossbow at the low ready, and eyes peeled to the perimeter to make sure there are no surprises away from the commotion.

Turning to Leif, Why's that lady talking to a rabbit? Is she sane?. Elon sets down his backpack, lays out his roll and begins taking off his scale mail.

The Professor, having lulled into his own thoughts on Chapter 4 of his latest academic paper "Common Arcane Foci of the Deruvish Hinterland", was slow to realise what was unfolding before him.

He hadn't trusted this greasy Elijah character from the get go but trusted the dragonborn had a plan and sword to quell the danger should one arrive. But the trap the dragonborn had laid was sprung suddenly and caught the gnome of guard.

But the lapse in concentration was quickly brushed aside as Vortrin's mind quickly sharpened around a well practised spell, his memorised fire bolt. Not wanting to escalate the situation unnecessarily, the gnome only began the casting delaying its finishing momentarily.

I explain to the rabbit where we are supposed to be heading and ask if it knows what direction we need to go.
