I do not appreciate being called a fool, and I do not appreciate deception, and I do not appreciate your attempts to disguise the glory of Bahamut. If we are to work together, perhaps a little more respect would be appropriate, Sah?

The large group continues their trek through the town, attempting to avoid discovery from additional invaders. The dragon can still be spotted lazily circling the town high in the sky. A storm is slowly approaching from the north.

With the keep finally within sight you reach the last building before an open field between there and the keep stretches for about 100 feet. You can see just to the south of your current position a group consiting of two humanoids wearing robes and some kind of head garb, 5 kobolds and another creature that resembles a kobold but has a pair of wings.
OOC:
Everyone roll stealth to see if they notice you

Also I will be changing up the way I do the battle maps a little, let me know feedback if you like it better or not. I'm not sure if its going to be more or less work for me in the long run so I'm not 100% yet but your feed back will impact my decision.

Actaeon grits his teeth, and mumbles under his breath, If I had a gold piece everytime you said "Sah"... I could afford an army and then focuses on the next group of enemies that await ahead. He readies another arrow and prepares to fire at the nearest enemy as soon as they are noticed.

Taking Ready Action to fire an arrow as a reaction if seen.

Harold walks up to the large dragonborn and the Assimir and whispers:

These people will not make it unless we cause a distraction.
How about you both and I draw the enemies southward while the rest rush into the keep? That should buy them some time, and it would help our other fighting friends get some flanking advantage.

What say you?
OOC:
I know there isn't a flanking mechanic, but tactics are still tactics.
He draws an arrow and prepares it.

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+5)

(4) + 5 = 9

I'm fine with that. This metal doesn't allow for much sneaking anyway.

OOC:
You can flank an enemie but I think it only applies to melee range..in which you would both gain advantage on the attack rolls

Sah, sounds like a plan. I don’t suppose either of you can heal? Blood is dripping from Bartholomew’s brow.I will do all I can to ensure these folks safety, but I am sure Bahamut has other plans for me if I survive this day.

Wordlessly Thorndyke shakes his head at these warriors,

Bickering fools, but they’re certainly brave.

He clears his throat,

"Ahem, I could cause a distraction without anyone risking their lives. A little illusion should do it."

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+2)

(6) + 2 = 8

Varl moves silently with the group.

Bartholomew bows his head slightly in respect and acknowledgement. Thank you kind Sah.
Mar 15, 2018 10:37 pm
Harold whispers to the whole group: Thorndyke, do your illusion, and once we notice the group head that way, we bolt in the other direction. Bart, Oraten, Varl, you three are the line. None of that group passes you. Thorndyke, Actaeon, and I will shoot them with our magic/missiles, Harold points to the rest of the group: and you all run to the keep in all haste.

On the count of three, Thorndyke, you cause the illusion on the southwest corner of that house there, as if someone is sneaking, that way the group investigates. ONE...TWO...THREE!!!

Harold has his bow ready.

As he is about to cast his spell Oraten is interrupted by the elderly man named Oliver.

Save your magic boy. Let me. Oliver pulls out a holy symbol and stretches out his arms. The symbol begins to glow and an aura begins to form around the cleric.
OOC:
He casts mass healing word and heals everyone 7hp
As you are making your plans you can hear one of the cultists yell something but you can’t make out what it was. You then see the kobolds start heading quickly in your direction.
