Let's keep heading east towards the keep. You, you, and you: Harold points to R, O, and L (I can't remember their names): Each of you, grab a kid and let's move faster towards the keep!Harold takes a second to analyze his surroundings for safer routes, dangers, etc.

"We must either take that group by surprise and with swift and devastating force," the monk whispered to the huddled group. "Or we must head to the buildings to the north to skirt around them. I am ready to take these brigands head on but we have these good townsfolk to think of. What say you friends?"

Stealth is alien to the hulking Dragonborn, but also he is badly injured. But that’s no reason to shirk his duty and protect the group.
"Sah. We need to take them out while we have the initiative. Delaying our chance may not turn out well."

The power of the God of Light does not sneak in the darkness like a common criminal!

Eyes wide, Thorndyke regards the others with more than a little concern.
"Wait, wait, wait... you're just going to go running in swinging swords?" he hisses, "We don't even know what's at the other side of this building! Those guys could be just the nose of the dragon!"
As soon as the metaphor is out he remembers there is an actual dragon flying around overhead and doesn't quite manage to stop himself from ducking.
"Look, how about this," he says in a conciliatory tone, "I'll make a distraction and then everybody makes a run for the keep. If any of you really can't control your deathwish you can be rear-guard. How does that sound?"

Thorndyke is planning to go to the north-western corner of the building and cast a minor illusion of himself walking round the south-western corner so that the group of enemies chases it west.Last edited March 12, 2018 3:18 pm

I like the distraction plan! We need to help these people out of here! That's our first priority.
Harold sides with Thorndyke.

Thorndyke grins,
"But getting all of your allies killed means nobody left to kill enemies."

Thorndyke’s response makes no sense to the Paladin. Is he trying to outsmart him or something. He knows he’s not super-smart, but he’s not stupid either, and he knows a thing or two about combat. Sneaking around really is not in his nature, and certainly he totally disagrees with Thorndyke on this one. He’ll try to be diplomatic as the little man means well. Sah, in my experience distractions sometimes don’t work out well, and when they go wrong they go very wrong. Dead kobolds can not harm us. Alive ones raising an alarm can, Sah. He allows himself a moment to look smug at his surprisingly eloquent explanation.

Hearing the bickering, I react. Bah, all talk and no action. I run around the corner and look to attack.

Varl ruffles a childs hair smiling kindly in an attempt to stop them being frightened.
"We will be safe soon, little ones," he whispers.
With a final look at the civilians, Varl, sickle in hand joins his attacking companions.

[ +- ] Command
1st-level enchantment
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 60 feet
Components: V
Duration: 1 round
You speak a one-word command to a creature you can see within range. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or follow the command on its next turn. The spell has no effect if the target is undead, if it doesn't understand your language, or if your command is directly harmful to it.
Some typical commands and their effects follow. You might issue a command other than one described here. If you do so, the GM determines how the target behaves. If the target can't follow your command, the spell ends.
Approach. The target moves toward you by the shortest and most direct route, ending its turn if it moves within 5 feet of you.
Drop. The target drops whatever it is holding and then ends its turn.
Flee. The target spends its turn moving away from you by the fastest available means.
Grovel. The target falls prone and then ends its turn.
Halt. The target doesn't move and takes no actions. A flying creature stays aloft, provided that it is able to do so. If it must move to stay aloft, it flies the minimum distance needed to remain in the air.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you can affect one additional creature for each slot level above 1st. The creatures must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.

im sorry I might have done a bad job explaining. On the last map I posted you had used your regular movement to get next to Oraten. If you wish to use the Dash action you can press forward otherwise you will need to use a ranged attack from your current location. Mar 13, 2018 12:45 am

If you wish we can say everyone moved up closer before taking action. Unless you say you went through the bushes then the closest you can get is H1, K1 or maybe H2
