Round 2: Baracus, Erden, Ybus

Hemmed in, dangerously close to being completely cut off from the others, Erden and Baracus fight desperately to end the nightmarish creature looming over them.

Erden's magical owls tear through the monster (8 force damage) as Baracus' sword pierces one of its eyes (13 piercing). Though unable to see through a faceful of spittle, the half-orc uses his embedded sword as a guide and reaches into one of the monster's gullets. It takes a couple of tries but Baracus grabs a raspy tongue and rips it right out. (9 damage).

The shadows in the room shift as Ybus reappers at the entrance, dead-rat-lamp swinging and eldritch dart slime-seeking. (1 damage).

There is a new tone to the creature's babbling. It sounds desperate. It's definitely in a lot of pain.

OOC:
Yo, Jabes. Was wondering if you might allow Urban some Movement to add to his previous round after he (and I) can see the positional results of his other actions?

A quick talk-through while looking at the Grid Map:
1) After freeing self to Move by successful Save vs. Aberrant Ground, I think Urban took a step over to F13/14 in order to shield shove the monster to the north.
2) After the success of the Shove was clear, new paths were open for Movement. Urban would want to react as much as he can to get to Barracus and Erdan.
3) Hoping that Urban could have kept moving. It is Difficult Terrain, so 3 squares. F13/14 (already mentioned) to G12 to H11. If you can't move 2 diagonals in a row, then maybe F13/14 to G12 to H12 at least?
4) Avoiding OAs all the while. Urban is staying within adjacent squares throughout Movement, not trying to withdraw.
5) I know that relocates Urban from "out of" Aberrant Ground into remaining in the thick of it again, but I'm ok with that.

Possible?

Round 2: Rydler

Rydler sends healing energy Rafiel's way (5hp healed), then calls down another shaft of light to stab down on the bigger creature in the room. Its skin sizzling, the monster trembles in what you're sure are its death throes. It bursts like a bubble, showering you all with burning acid (DEX save vs. DC 13 or take 5 acid damage), and littering the floor with gore. Now there is just the thing on the wall to deal with. No, wait! The largest chunks of flesh begin to stir!
OOC:
There are a total of 6 mini mouthers (five on the floor, one 15 ft up the north wall). Around each, Aberrant Ground in effect 5ft radius, Gibbering 10ft radius.

TMNT turn! They have already succeeded at their STR and WIS saves for this round, but you'll have to roll their DEX save vs. acid. You control one of them til end of combat. Take your pick. First come, first served. Go!

"Yeah, this is exactly how that date went," ponders Ybus as the acidic shower washes over him. "Is that you, Sybille? You're looking good!"

Even as he makes pleasant small talk, Ybus thrusts his spear at the mini-mouther at his feet. "I see you've been keeping busy. Did some work on your hips, too!"

OOC:
Oops, it's not the PC's turn yet. You guys just took your turns. It's the turtles' turns, then the mouthers then back to the PC's. But I'm letting four of you control a turtle. :-)

So yes, make your PC's DEX save vs. acid, then pick a turtle and post their action for round 2.

Those are some great rolls for Ybus though. We can use them in Round 3. :-)

OOC:
Ack, sorry, misread that it was player turn. Can my action be delayed until the right time?

Myche watches the big jibber jabber break into a bunch of little ones. Unable to get in close to the action, he spends a moment narrating the scene:

"Radical! These dudes are like totally a one-man par-tay! Imagine the pizza bill for all those mouths though!"

He leaps up and sends a throwing star sailing above everyone's heads. It veers at the last second at one of the mini mouthers (m4) then retreats down the tunnel 10 feet to give the others some room to maneuver.

Rafiel hears the warning from the others and faces off against one of the mini-mouthers that splatters in front of him like a mumbling biting sludge.

"And I thought it was tough getting a word in edgewise when you have just THREE jabbering brothers!" He spins his kittaris in his hands and leaps up, arching back at full extension with both arms. "A hundred speakers and not one listener? No wonder these guys are frustrated!"

As he arches back down, he stabs straight down pivoting all of his weight, hoping to destroy the small creature by stabbing it straight into the ground.

Jabes, I have one moment in time to post now and then I'm probably out for a solid week. I know it may be out of sequence, but I thought I should go ahead and throw in one quick entry and let you insert it if it fits at the right time. If not, you can disregard of course. Thanks, bro. Happy Independence to those celebrating.
Urban can see the trend now: it is imperative not to cut and split the monsters any further. He crashes his shield down into one of the mini-monsters, attempting to pulverize it.

UDATE: Adding Disadvantage WIS save

All of the voices, echoing off of the stone walls - the sound is maddening. Disorienting. Urban feels an unnatural anxiety washing over him. His focus begins to fray.

Urban shakes out of it, but it is clear to him now that this set of enemies may be able to crack his mind apart even before they dissolve and eat his body! They had to find a way to put these foul creatures down for good.
OOC:
I can see after reading that targeting against M4 was OBE. Could the effort apply against M6?

Myche just manages to dodge the splatter of acid as the big mouther falls apart, then flicks a throwing star at one of the mouther spawn, hitting it dead center. (Throwing star vs. m6: HIT. 7 damage.)

Rafiel is unable to avoid the unexpected burst of acid, but the burns only fuel his rage. His first stab misses but his second punches into slimy flesh. (Kattar attack 2 vs. m3: HIT. 5 damage.)

Round 2: Mini-mouthers
