As Cailean walks into the new space he claps and rubs his hands in appreciation of the setup... "Ooohh, this looks like a little bit a fun." Cailean reaches into his bag and pulls out his broom of flying. "What do ya think, change up tactics a bit... have a little fun with it." Cailean hops onto his broom and as he's moving 20ft off the ground he pulls out a stoppered flask.
OOC:
I'm not sure the rules of combat on a broom, and the flask is a decanter of endless water. So maybe some messy fun...
Apr 14, 2018 10:44 am
OOC:
There is a magical ceiling about 100 feet above the ground. The decanter will take a long time if you're planning on flooding the arena.

OOC:
im not that crazy... but geyser has a 30 foot stream that can knock a creature prone on a failed st save,

OOC:
Did you see my post on previous page? Wulfram is slowly creeping through and rolled a perception check.
Apr 15, 2018 5:35 am
OOC:
@Wulfram: You saw the post about the ancient skeleton stepping out of a tomb yes? Are you looking for something else?

As you are "creeping" give me a stealth check. If you beat a 13 you can have advantage on your next attack.
Apr 15, 2018 10:52 am
The ancient skeleton takes a very well made, yet equally ancient longbow off of it's back, nocks and arrow and takes aim for Cailean.

Rolls

Str save - (1D20+2)

(20) + 2 = 22

Damage - (1D8+2)

(2) + 2 = 4

Attack 2 - (1D20+4)

(10) + 4 = 14

Damage - (1D8+2)

(3) + 2 = 5

Attack 1 - (1d20+4)

(8) + 4 = 12

Cailean easily flys around the arrows. "you call that a shot... ya couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn with that thing... I bet when you were alive you were a bit of a wanker weren’t ya... always running yer mouth but never backing it up." Cailean reaches into his bag and pulls out a dagger with one hand and with the other he continues to spray the undead with the water, trying to draw his attention away from Wulfram to aid his sneakiness.
Apr 15, 2018 1:42 pm
Wulfram attempts to move into a flanking position to catch the monster unaware.
OOC:
I guess I wasn’t sure we had spotted the monster yet. Wulfram was just looking for anything that might give him advantage.
Wulfram slips and makes a great clang as she stumbles a bit and loses any chance of surprise. He grips his sword in his offhand and summons some dark magic in the other.

"Back to the grave with you!" He shouts as he releases tendrils of dark energy.
[ +- ] Bonus Action - Hex - Disadvantage on Str Saves

Rolls

Stealth w/ disadvantage - (1d20)

(5) = 5

Stealth w/ disadvantage - (1d20)

(9) = 9

Initiative - (1d20)

(4) = 4

OOC:
Unfortunately Hex doesn't effect saving throws it only effects ability checks QQ. It would be super OP if it did. Bonus action: hex: dex, action: cast fireball! Would you like to change your action and attack it or cast another spell?

OOC:
Ahhh, ok I was a little confused - how can you use a disadvantage on ability checks to your favor? Is grappaling/shoving an ability check or saving throw?
OOC:
Regardless I will keep action as is and proceed to attack
Wulfram grips his greatsword and slashes downward in an attempt to obliterate the skeleton.

Rolls

Greatsword attack - (1d20)

(15) = 15

Damage for GS attack with GWM (+10) - (2d6+13)

(14) + 13 = 18

Reroll for any 1s or 2s - (2d6)

(24) = 6

Hex damage - (1d6)

(3) = 3

OOC:
Yes! Grappling is an ability check! At higher levels you can choose wisdom and cast invisibilty on yourself. Those are both pretty powerful combos.

OOC:
I'm unsure of what the order is, let me know when I'm free to act please. I'm thinking since I don't roll for an attack to hit with the decanter, I stand the chance of hitting Wulfram if he's engaged in combat and I don't want to do that.
Apr 16, 2018 2:03 am
OOC:
Let's say that now that he's in melee range you'd probably stop using the decanter for fear of hitting wulfram. It doesn't take an action to use it but you need to aim it so you can't attack and use the decanter at the same time. You could probably use the decanter and cast a spell if you had any though.

Cailean continues to poor water on the wight but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Wulfram rushes in and launches a massive overhead strike which connects with the creature's collar bone.

HP 45-22 (ouch!) = 23 left.

The creature launches two attacks at Wulfram. As the first attack hits Wulfram feels part of his soul being sucked out and into the undead creature.

Constitution saving throw please DC 13

Rolls

Attack 1 - (1D20+4)

(18) + 4 = 22

Damage - (1D6+2)

(1) + 2 = 3

Attack 2 - (1D20+4)

(14) + 4 = 18

Damage - (1D8+2)

(7) + 2 = 9

[ +- ] PC Condition Update
Wulfram flinches as the creature manages to breach his armor and prick his flesh. Wulfram reacts to the attack and he swings his arm around towards the creature and the skeleton is set ablaze by hellish flames.
[ +- ] Reaction - Hellish Rebuke
OOC:
WOW hellish rebuke was absolute garbage roll. Does hellish Rebuke count as "hitting the target with an attack"? - can I add 1d6 necrotic for the Hex spell?

Rolls

Con Save - (1d20+5)

(16) + 5 = 21

Con Save - Hex - (1d20+5)

(6) + 5 = 11

Hellish Rebuke - (3d10)

(211) = 4

Apr 16, 2018 3:17 pm
OOC:
I'm going to go with no because you didn't actually make an attack. If you roll to hit with a spell or a weapon then you get to add hex damage. At least that's my understanding of it.

Rolls

Dex Save - (1D20+2)

(9) + 2 = 11

Apr 16, 2018 3:31 pm
[ +- ] Spell Save = 12
OOC:
@Cailean - I would say roll initiative and prepare an action to jump in next round of combat (nowish)
Apr 16, 2018 3:41 pm
OOC:
Definitely jump in now Cailean.
Apr 16, 2018 4:02 pm
Cailean moves in behind the skeleton on his broom, dismounts behind it and moves in for a flurry of blows; kicking the skeleton in the back of the knee repeatedly trying to get it do drop.
OOC:
He's still holding the decanter in his hands.

Rolls

Attack 1 - (1d20+9)

(2) + 9 = 11

Damage 1 - (1d6+6)

(6) + 6 = 12

Attack 2 - (1d20+9)

(18) + 9 = 27

Damage 2 - (1d6+6)

(6) + 6 = 12

Attack 3 - (1d20+9)

(18) + 9 = 27

Damage 3 - (1d6+6)

(4) + 6 = 10

Attack 4 - (1d20+9)

(20) + 9 = 29

Damage 4 - (1d6+6)

(5) + 6 = 11

Bonus damage for the crit - (1d6)

(1) = 1

OOC:
And... another kill for Cailean. Well done guys. Next fight will be against an orc raiding party. You can take a short rest and then we'll go again.
